Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.5m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 233 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Baltic Sea belongs to a very different school of yacht design than the fast GRP flybridge yachts that dominated the Mediterranean market in the late 2000s. Built on a steel displacement hull with an aluminium superstructure, she was conceived as a compact explorer yacht capable of extended cruising rather than high-speed coastal hops. At 28.4m (93.2ft), she carries an impressive 226GT of internal volume, giving her the presence and usable space of many yachts several metres longer.

The profile comes from Espinosa Yacht Design and balances traditional explorer yacht cues with a softer, more yacht-like appearance. A near-vertical bow, high freeboard and substantial bulwarks signal her long-range intentions, while the sweeping superstructure and dark hull glazing prevent the yacht from appearing overly commercial. From head-on, the bow has considerable flare and volume above the waterline, a shape designed to deal with offshore conditions while also creating additional internal space in the forward sections.

The deck arrangement reveals the practical thinking behind the Bandido 90 platform. A Portuguese bridge wraps around the wheelhouse, creating a protected forward deck area rarely found on yachts of this size. The boat deck carries the tender rather than sacrificing valuable interior volume to a garage, while the aft sections remain dedicated to guest use. Wide side decks and high bulwarks provide secure movement throughout the yacht, reflecting the explorer brief that defined the Bandido range.

Baltic Sea was delivered during a transitional period when Jade Yachts assumed direct responsibility for completing and marketing projects following Drettmann's restructuring. Only eight Bandido 90 hulls were built, making her part of a relatively small and distinctive explorer yacht series.

Interior Design

Baltic Sea's interior was designed by Espinosa Yacht Design and takes a notably different approach from many explorer yachts of her era. Rather than relying on dark timber and heavy nautical themes, the interior uses a lighter contemporary palette with bronze detailing, large windows and clean architectural lines.

The main saloon is organised around a formal dining area, where a substantial marble dining table acts as the focal point of the space. Large windows along both sides of the yacht bring natural light deep into the interior and take advantage of the yacht's unusually generous beam. he raised wheelhouse sits forward on the upper level, allowing the main deck to function as a dedicated guest area. Crew circulation remains largely independent, helping maintain privacy during longer voyages.

Accommodation

Baltic Sea accommodates up to eight guests across four double cabins and carries up to five crew.

The owner's suite occupies the most desirable position on board, forward on the main deck. This arrangement is unusual on a yacht under 30m and provides greater privacy, improved views and separation from the guest accommodation below. The location also benefits from the yacht's substantial forward volume, creating a suite that feels closer to those found on significantly larger vessels.

The lower deck contains three additional guest cabins arranged around a central corridor. The layout prioritises space over guest count, with all cabins designed as doubles rather than relying on additional Pullman berths. This approach suits owner-operators and long-range cruising programmes where guest comfort often takes priority over maximising berth numbers.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MAN (D 2842 LE 410) 1,100hp engines, motor yacht Baltic Sea is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 9 knots. With her 38,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,000 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
