Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 6.7m beam and a 1.9m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 145 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Slow Poke is a 27.5m (90.2ft) steel-hulled explorer with a confident, utilitarian profile rooted in the Doggersbank design pedigree. Her lines are purposeful, with a full-displacement hull and robust aluminium superstructure. She carries a striking presence on the water, finished in black with a bold British racing green stripe along the hull - a retro cue that hints at her distinctive character.
The stern is arranged around a wide swim platform, set low and equipped with hydraulic swim steps for smooth access to the water. There’s ample space for setting up watersports, preparing tenders, or simply enjoying the view. The area includes an outdoor heated shower and integrated underwater lighting for evening swims or quiet moments by the waterline. A glass panel built into the bow with a live-feed camera brings the underwater world into view both here and throughout the yacht.
Above, the split-level flybridge is laid out for relaxed cruising and intimate social time. It includes fixed seating, a bar, and a dining nook with open views across the cruising grounds. Meanwhile, the aft deck offers a generous spot for coffee at sunrise or drinks at dusk. Overhead, a custom sun awning designed by the artist Paul Kremer adds both shade and a touch of the owner's personal style.
Interior Design
The interior of Slow Poke balances classic layout principles with bold, characterful finishes. Vripack’s original architecture remains in place - a practical and well-integrated design that has stood the test of time. Rich cherrywood panelling and traditional mouldings lend warmth to the spaces, which have been updated with a high-gloss retro aesthetic.
The main saloon features deep, saturated tones in blues and greens, along with confident use of black - creating a space that feels both expressive and grounded. There’s a clear residential feel to the design, with bespoke finishes and art pieces throughout. Among them are works by Houston-based artists, including Paul Kremer, Julian Schnabel, and Howard Hughes, all carefully chosen to reflect the owner's style.
The wheelhouse has been modernised, with an updated layout and advanced navigation and electronics systems that support both offshore cruising and daily handling with ease. The bridge also connects to the camera system built into the bow, delivering real-time footage of the underwater world ahead.
Accommodation
Accommodation on board is arranged for six guests in three ensuite cabins, each designed with a calm and considered atmosphere. The standout is the master suite, where the colour scheme has been carefully matched to the bumper of a 1952 Porsche 356A - a subtle, personal detail that speaks to the owner's love of classic design. The remaining guest cabins continue the theme of quiet, tailored comfort, with soft tones and refined materials.
A unique feature in the guest spaces is the live feed from the underwater bow camera, streamed to each cabin’s television - offering a quiet, immersive connection to the sea, whether at anchor or underway.
Slow Poke is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
