Originally launched in 1982 as a North Atlantic scallop dragger—well-built for the rigors of commercial fishing
Later repurposed as a research and training vessel by Memorial University in Newfoundland .
Between 2019 and 2021 , it underwent an extensive refit at Glovertown Shipyard in Newfoundland, transitioning into a modern expedition yacht.
