Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 10.97m beam and a 2.29m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 621 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Compass Rose is a 48.8m C & G Boatworks explorer yacht built in aluminium with a long-range displacement hull. The profile is purposeful rather than decorative. A tall bow, broad beam and high bulwarks give the yacht the look of a serious ocean-going platform.
The hull sides carry long rows of rectangular windows along the main deck, while the bridge sits high with angled glazing for clear forward visibility. The superstructure steps upward in strong horizontal layers, creating several usable exterior decks.
A working upper deck aft carries a large portion of the yacht’s expedition equipment. This area is set up for tenders and exploration gear rather than leisure seating. Compass Rose carries a substantial inventory that includes a 42ft Gamefisherman walkaround tender, a 30ft Munson Pack Cat landing craft, and a 20ft Zodiac RIB. Personal watercraft and additional exploration equipment can also be stored here.
Forward on the same level is a shaded alfresco dining area, positioned to benefit from protection from the wind and good views over the bow.
The sundeck on Compass Rose is arranged as the yacht’s main relaxation space. It includes dining, a bar, grill and open seating areas. A secondary helm station sits forward, giving the captain clear sightlines when navigating in confined waters.
Interior Design
Compass Rose carries an interior designed by D. Marine Design, arranged around the yacht’s very wide 12m beam and 621GT of internal volume.
The main saloon is the primary gathering space. Dark wood joinery defines the structure of the room while lighter fabrics and soft furnishings soften the space. The arrangement includes a large lounge area, a formal dining space and a full-service bar.
The galley sits close to the main living areas and includes a sit-up breakfast bar, allowing the space to function as both a service area and a casual social point during the day.
The wide beam is the defining feature of the interior layout. At 36 feet (about 12m) across, Compass Rose carries interior volume that is closer to what is normally seen on larger explorer yachts.
Accommodation
Compass Rose accommodates 10 guests in five cabins.
The master suite carries a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom. Three additional VIP cabins include queen beds and ensuite facilities. A twin cabin provides flexible accommodation for additional guests.
Crew accommodation is arranged for up to 10 crew in five cabins, allowing the yacht to operate with a full professional team during extended cruising programs.

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3508B) 1,050hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Compass Rose is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 195,782 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 9,000 nautical miles.
