Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.15m beam and a 1.79m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 193 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2004. Launched in March 2006 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2006.
Exterior Design
Nanou has a classic raised-pilothouse motor yacht profile with a long foredeck, a sheltered aft cockpit and a three-deck superstructure that steps gently toward the stern. The white hull carries a row of oval and circular portholes along the lower deck while larger rectangular windows run through the main deck saloon, creating a clear visual break between hull and superstructure.
Forward, the bow is moderately raked with a deep anchor pocket cut into the starboard side and stainless steel railings running the full length of the foredeck. The raised foredeck itself provides space for deck gear and ground tackle while also lifting the profile of the owner’s suite positioned directly behind it.
Moving aft, the main deck features wide side decks protected by high bulwarks, leading back to a sheltered cockpit with built-in seating and a dining table. Above, the flybridge stretches almost the full beam of the yacht and includes open lounging areas, a dining space and a Jacuzzi aft, all partially protected by a radar arch and mast structure.
The upper levels are arranged with gently curved lines and wraparound glazing around the raised pilothouse, giving the profile a smooth transition between decks while maintaining strong forward visibility.
Interior Design
The interior was designed by François Zuretti and uses cherry wood joinery with marble detailing throughout the guest spaces. The main saloon sits aft on the main deck and benefits from large side windows that run almost the full length of the room, bringing natural light into the seating area.
The lounge is arranged with sofas and armchairs around a central table and an entertainment centre fitted with a 42-inch Samsung plasma television and Denon sound system. The cabinetry and shelving built into the bulkheads provide storage while maintaining a clean layout along the sides of the room.
Forward of the saloon, the formal dining area is separated but remains visually connected through the open layout. A dining table for eight sits centrally within the space, surrounded by cabinetry finished in the same cherry wood as the saloon joinery.
Throughout the main deck, the materials combine polished timber, marble surfaces and neutral soft furnishings, producing a traditional interior style typical of Zuretti’s work during this period.
Accommodation
Nanou accommodates eight guests in four cabins arranged across the lower and main decks. The owner’s suite is located forward on the main deck, taking advantage of the raised foredeck structure to provide additional headroom and privacy from the guest accommodation below.
On the lower deck, a VIP suite sits aft while two twin guest cabins are positioned amidships. Each cabin includes its own entertainment system with television screens and en suite bathroom facilities finished with marble surfaces.
Crew accommodation for up to 5 is located forward on the lower deck and arranged separately from the guest cabins to allow discreet service and efficient movement between the galley, bridge and exterior decks.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C18) 6-cylinder 1,000hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Nanou is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 21,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,418 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
