Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.32m beam and a 1.73m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 207 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The Crown Royal's hull is in a deep navy blue with crisp white topsides, finished with stainless steel rails and fittings throughout. A full paint job was carried out by Luu Marine, highlighting her bold lines and sturdy enclosed-bridge sportfisherman stance. On the foredeck, a Nautical Structures low-profile hydraulic davit handles tender operations, with a 5.2m (17ft) Hells Bay bonefish skiff stowed here, painted to match the mothership and powered by a 70hp Yamaha outboard. A Freemen hatch in the forward deckhouse brow opens to a large bosun’s locker, while a Tide Ride nine-step boarding ladder stows beneath the tender.
The aft deck is teak-laid, fitted with a varnished double-pedestal table, inlaid accents, and six matching teak chairs with cushions and covers. Drop-down televisions are fitted into both the aft deck overhead and the forward port section. A stainless-and-teak ladder leads to the upper aft deck, while curved boarding gates and steps give access to the cockpit.
The cockpit is laid in teak with matching covering boards, with a Murray Brothers fighting chair in the center. A glass-fronted livewell is integrated into the transom, complemented by underdeck fish boxes, a Frigibar icemaker feeding directly into the boxes, and a suite of bait prep and storage facilities. A large electric grill sits to port in the forward bulkhead cabinetry, mirrored to starboard by a bait freezer with removable stainless trays. The one-piece transom door leads directly aft, with watertight hatches in the cockpit sole giving access to the lazarette and rudder systems.
The flybridge aft deck carries teak underfoot, teak chairs with cushions, and an additional helm station complete with joystick controls, bow thruster, and engine displays. A drop-down television sits overhead, while tower ladder steps rise to a tuna tower fitted with a bench for three and a buggy shade top. The tower itself is rigged for sportfishing with hydraulically operated Rupp triple-spreader outriggers, a center outrigger, and Miya-Epoch electric teaser reels.
Lighting and practical detailing are widespread, including spreader lights molded beneath the tower floor, Ocean LED underwater lights, cockpit and side deck courtesy lights, and watertight Freeman hatches in the cockpit. Safety and support equipment includes twin Viking 8-man liferafts on the foredeck, Kahlenberg triple-trumpet horns, multiple spotlights, and a full suite of bilge, firefighting, and emergency gear.
Interior Design
Inside, The Crown Royal is finished in American cherry wood, with marble inlays in the soles and warm detailing throughout. The salon aft is arranged with a bar and four stools to starboard, opposite a large L-shaped sofa with hidden storage and a cocktail table. A custom chair and a bulkhead-mounted artwork conceal a rise-and-fall 60in Samsung Smart TV, controlled via iPad along with the AV, lighting, and sound systems. Multiple lighting levels and pleated blinds allow the mood to shift between bright and intimate.
A spiral staircase to starboard rises to the flybridge, while a day head is set to port. Forward, the galley is expansive, equipped with Corian counters, a full KitchenAid suite of appliances including oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, wine cooler, and icemaker, plus a Bosch five-burner cooktop with sea rails. A large pantry sits alongside, and privacy panels can be drawn between galley and dining area. Opposite, the dining table seats six leather chairs with room for eight around a glass top.
Upstairs, the enclosed flybridge is a true additional living space. The helm forward is served by twin Stidd chairs in leatherette, with extensive navigation electronics laid out across wide monitors. The wood sole from the salon continues here, setting a warm tone alongside a large L-shaped leather sofa, ottoman, and pop-up television cabinet. Aft lies a marble-topped wet bar with refrigerator, sink, and icemaker, leading through stainless and glass doors to the aft deck.
Accommodation
The yacht sleeps owner, guests, and crew in six cabins. Forward accommodations are arranged for eight guests in four cabins, while two crew cabins aft handle a professional team of up to four.
The full-beam master stateroom sits aft on the lower deck with a double-door entry. A forward-facing king berth with padded headboard is flanked by nightstands and dresser cabinets, with a vanity desk to one side and a cedar-lined walk-in closet to port. Pocket doors lead to the master bathroom, which is finished in marble and set around a glass-enclosed shower stall, with twin vanities and toilets to port and starboard.
Two identical twin guest cabins lie amidships to port and starboard. Each features twin lower berths, marble bathrooms with stall showers, cedar closets, and private entertainment systems. Furthest forward in the bow, the VIP suite carries a raised queen berth, cedar closet, vanity desk, en-suite bathroom with shower, and portlights framed with shoji screens.
Crew access is discreet, with stairs from the galley or through the engine room door aft. Two cabins are set here: one with a double berth, fold-down Pullman, and TV, the other with upper and lower bunks plus a desk and storage.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M91) 2,000hp engines, motor yacht The Crown Royal is capable of reaching a top speed of 30 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
