Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement composite hull and superstructure she features a 6.43m beam and a 2.5m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 90 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fourth yacht built on the MCY 86 design.
Exterior Design
The 26.3m (86.3ft) Monte Carlo Yachts MCY 86 Venus combines contemporary Italian styling with the scale and proportions of a much larger yacht. Designed by Nuvolari Lenard, the exterior balances strong volume with long flowing lines, creating what Monte Carlo Yachts often described as a “pocket superyacht” profile.
A high flared bow gives Venus a confident forward stance and adds genuine offshore capability, while the sheer line drops gradually aft to soften the overall profile. Dark glazing wraps around the superstructure and visually lowers the yacht, helping reduce the apparent bulk created by the yacht’s broad beam and high internal volume.
One of the defining MCY 86 design cues is the use of overlapping circular hull portlights along the lower deck. These bring natural light into the full-beam owner’s suite while also giving the hull a recognisable Monte Carlo Yachts identity. The aft cockpit incorporates the model’s signature stainless steel and smoked-glass fashion plates, which shield the seating area from wind without fully closing off the view.
The flybridge is one of the largest in this category at more than 60sqm and acts as a central social deck. A carbon fibre hardtop with retractable sunroof provides optional shade, while the layout leaves space for loose furniture, dining areas, sun loungers and a second helm station. The mast structure carries more of a superyacht feel than a conventional sports flybridge arch, which adds to the yacht’s larger-scale appearance.
Forward, Venus features a Portuguese bridge arrangement leading to a recessed bow lounge. Deep seating wraps around an expandable teak table, while integrated sunpads turn the area into a private outdoor retreat separated from the aft entertaining zones.
The aft deck is arranged for open-air dining and connects directly to the salon through wide sliding glass doors. Below, the hydraulic swim platform handles tender launch and recovery while also creating easy water access at anchor. Fold-down side balconies extend from the salon area and widen the yacht’s connection to the sea further when stationary.
Interior Design
Venus has an interior that focuses heavily on openness, visibility and natural light. Large floor-to-ceiling side windows dominate the main salon and create uninterrupted sea views from nearly every seating position, while the fold-down balconies expand the sense of width even further at anchor.
The interior styling follows a restrained contemporary Italian approach. Pale timber finishes, soft neutral fabrics and low-profile furnishings keep the spaces bright without feeling clinical, while the 2023 refit introduced updated furniture pieces from Tribù, Poltrona Frau and Paola Lenti throughout the yacht.
The main salon flows naturally between lounge and dining areas without heavy partitions dividing the space. A formal dining table sits amidships beneath the broad side glazing, while the aft lounge connects directly to the exterior cockpit through sliding glass doors. The result is a layout that feels open and social rather than segmented.
The galley is positioned to support both private cruising and charter use efficiently, with separate crew circulation routes helping preserve guest privacy throughout the yacht.
Across the interior, Nuvolari Lenard used large glazing panels and carefully reduced structural interruptions wherever possible. Carbon fibre and Kevlar construction within the superstructure allowed for slimmer supports around the windows, which gives the salon a lighter and more panoramic atmosphere than many yachts in this size bracket.
Accommodation
Venus accommodates up to eight guests across four ensuite cabins.
The full-beam owner’s suite sits amidships on the lower deck and uses the MCY 86’s signature overlapping circular portlights to bring natural light into the cabin. The suite includes a king-size bed, lounge seating and substantial storage volume, making it well suited to extended cruising.
Forward, the VIP cabin features a queen-size bed, while the remaining guest accommodation consists of one double cabin and one convertible twin that can operate either as twin singles or a double depending on guest requirements.
The cabins follow the same contemporary styling used throughout the yacht, combining soft neutral tones with updated furnishings introduced during the 2023 refit. Large hull windows and carefully positioned lighting help the guest accommodation feel bright and open despite the yacht’s sporty exterior profile.
Crew accommodation supports up to four crew members in separate quarters with private access routes, allowing VENUS to operate comfortably for both private ownership and charter service.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12 1800) 1,800hp engines, motor yacht Venus is capable of reaching a top speed of 29 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. With her 7,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 400 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
