Wide-beam explorer designed for global cruising
Project H780 has been developed as a private family yacht for experienced owners intending to cruise extensively and spend long periods away from conventional support. Ker Yacht Design is responsible for the overall concept, general arrangement, naval architecture, exterior design and structural engineering. With a 12.9m beam and a load line length of 23.9m, the catamaran showcases a purposeful explorer profile with the additional space offered by its wide-beam configuration.
Drive-in tender dock supports remote exploration
A key element of the new yacht's explorer brief is its storage and tender capacity, including a drive-in lifting dock capable of carrying an enclosed tender measuring up to 7.5m. The arrangement has been conceived to support extended periods away from shore, while the catamaran platform provides generous exterior areas for family cruising and time spent at anchor.
Light-filled interior created for family life
Design Unlimited worked alongside Ker Yacht Design and the owners to develop an interior intended to function as a home away from home. Initial renderings show a contemporary, light-filled scheme with large picture windows, while an open-plan saloon, dining area and galley create the main social space onboard. Multiple seating areas provide spaces for entertaining and relaxation, with the wider arrangement tailored around extended family cruising.
Four MAN engines deliver long-range capability
Project H780 will be powered by four 850hp MAN engines and has been engineered to balance high-speed cruising with long-distance efficiency. Ker Yacht Design used advanced CFD and neural-network-assisted optimisation to develop the wave-piercing hulls and lifting foil as an integrated hydrodynamic package. The yacht is designed to cover 2,000 nautical miles at 25 knots and 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots, supported by a total fuel capacity of 35,000 litres. Displacing approximately 140 tonnes, her hull structure will comply with Bureau Veritas NR500 rules, while the vessel will be built to comply with the SPV Code.
Project H780 will be built at Silver Yachts' Jiangmen facility in China, adding to the shipyard's portfolio of large aluminium catamarans. Metal cutting is scheduled to begin in August 2026, followed by hull and superstructure fabrication, with launch targeted for March 2028 and final delivery scheduled for April 2028.

Project H780 joins Silver Yachts' growing programme of high-performance multihulls and custom yachts. Among the builder's other notable catamaran projects is the 36m SpaceCat, which applies the yard's lightweight aluminium construction to a larger multihull platform, alongside the adventure-focused Silver Adventure 29.5M, developed around long-distance cruising and onboard versatility.
