42m GX42 Superyacht Enters Final Outfitting Phase Ahead of Summer Launch

The first 42m GX Superyachts GX42 RPH superyacht has officially entered its final outfitting stage ahead of a scheduled summer launch.

The GX Superyachts GX42 RPH, designed as a low-profile, contemporary cruiser, will make its public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Final Build Phase Underway

Construction of the GX42 has moved into its closing stages, with interior fit-out now the primary focus. The lower deck is largely complete, including guest accommodation and bathrooms, where furniture and joinery have already been installed.

Attention has shifted to the main deck of the superyacht, where work continues on the owner’s suite and the main saloon. These areas are expected to define the onboard living experience, with the saloon positioned as the central social space.

The way this mould-breaking project has unfolded is a testament to the dedication and expertise of all those involved. It will be a moment of real pride when we unveil the boat at the Monaco Yacht Show for her worldwide debut."

- Maurizio Magri, Chief Commercial Officer at GX Superyachts

In parallel, technical progress is advancing in the wheelhouse, where electrical and electronic systems are being installed as the yacht approaches operational readiness.

Exterior Spaces Take Shape

On the upper levels, the sun deck is nearing completion. Teak decking has been laid and is awaiting final caulking, while structural work continues on fixed furniture elements.

This area is designed as a key leisure zone, with plans for integrated seating, dining arrangements, and a large Jacuzzi. The layout points to a strong emphasis on open-air use, with clear prioritization of guest comfort and usability across the deck.

Interior Direction by Marco Casali

The GX42’s interior has been designed by Marco Casali, whose approach centers on a restrained, material-led aesthetic. Early images from the build show a palette built around walnut paneling, paired with white leather surfaces and lacquered finishes.

Italian textiles have been selected for upholstery, introducing texture while maintaining a clean visual tone. The overall direction leans toward a calm, residential feel, aligned with the yacht’s positioning as a long-range family cruiser.

Casali’s design also reflects the project’s broader environmental positioning, with material choices and tonal balance intended to complement the motor yacht’s efficiency-focused platform.

First Season and Monaco Showcase

Following delivery, the GX42 is expected to spend its first season cruising in the Western Mediterranean. The yacht is scheduled to make its global debut at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, taking place from September 25 to 28.

The debut will mark a key moment for GX Superyachts as it enters the competitive 40-meter segment with its first completed model. The GX42 also serves as the foundation for a broader product strategy. Development is already underway on additional models, including the Voyager 38 and Voyager 45, alongside early-stage plans for a GX35 and GX50.
