50m Baglietto Project Farah Superyacht Revealed Ahead of 2027 Delivery

Baglietto has released the first details of its new 50m full-custom superyacht Project Farah, currently under construction in La Spezia with delivery scheduled for 2027.

The sub-500GT yacht features exterior and interior design by Matheus Farah and Manoel Maia Arquitetura in collaboration with Fernando de Almeida Yacht Design, with Royal Yacht International overseeing the build on behalf of the owner.

A Residential Approach to Life On Board

The concept behind Project Farah is grounded in the idea of translating the atmosphere of a private home onto the water. The name itself, meaning “happiness,” sets the tone for a design focused on wellbeing, privacy, and day-to-day livability rather than formal or ceremonial spaces.

According to the shipyard, the owner’s vision prioritizes ease of movement and adaptability across the yacht. Spaces have been arranged with a focus on symmetry and flow, creating a layout that can shift between quiet private use and more social occasions without requiring structural changes.

A Composed Silhouette

Early renderings show a composed and balanced exterior, defined by clean lines, a near-vertical bow, and a strong sense of symmetry. The motor yacht carries a metallic grey hull paired with a contrasting black superstructure, giving the profile a clear and deliberate identity.

The proportions remain restrained, with the emphasis placed on coherence rather than aggressive styling. This results in a silhouette that feels stable and consistent across all decks, aligning with the yacht’s broader focus on usability.

A helipad is integrated into the design, reinforcing the yacht’s long-range capability and operational flexibility. While full deck layout details have not yet been released, the exterior appears to follow a practical arrangement with clearly defined zones for relaxation, circulation, and service.

Warm Tones and Natural Materials

Inside, Project Farah follows what the designers describe as a “warm modernism” approach. The interior palette is built around natural materials including wood and leather, with a consistent use of warm brown and sand tones throughout.

The design avoids excessive ornamentation, instead relying on material quality, texture, and proportion to define the spaces. Subtle gold accents are introduced in a controlled way, adding detail without disrupting the overall balance. Lighting plays a key role in shaping the onboard atmosphere. A soft, layered lighting scheme has been developed to create a more relaxed environment, supporting the residential feel that underpins the entire project.

Project Farah will be powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, delivering a reported top speed of 16 knots. This aligns with the yacht’s positioning as a displacement platform designed for steady cruising rather than high-speed operation.

A Fully Custom Build Within a Busy Order Book

Project Farah forms part of a sustained period of activity for Baglietto, as the yard continues to develop both its custom and semi-custom ranges. According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Baglietto currently has 22 yachts in build or on order across multiple series.

Recent milestones include the launch of the first 60-meter Baglietto T60, now the largest yacht produced by the yard. Evolving from the T52 platform, it introduces refined exterior proportions and a reworked layout focused on open-plan living and stronger connections to the water.

The T52 series also continues to progress, with the launch of the hybrid-equipped Marsa Luna highlighting the yard’s work in alternative propulsion, including extended at-anchor battery operation. Further expansion comes through the 46.9-meter Baglietto DOM155, the flagship of the DOM series, which increases volume and deck space while remaining below the 500GT threshold.
