Altair III is a 193'7" expedition yacht delivered by Dutch shipyard Amels in 1974. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Bannenberg & Rowell, while Amels is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and superstructure she features a 35'5" beam and a 12'6" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 867 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Accommodation

Altair III offers accommodation for up to 18 guests in 9 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 4 double cabins and 3 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 20 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by 3 x diesel-electric Paxman (PRH2000 MKVII) 12-cylinder 625hp engines, motor yacht Altair III is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 7 knots. With her 34,342 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 10,000 nautical miles at 7 knots.
