Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 25'4" beam and a 7'1" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 271 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the Mediterraneo 116 design. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in August 2020.
Exterior Design
Bella Vita measures 35.3m (115ft 10in) in length, with a beam of 7.5m (24ft 7in) and a draft of 2.5m (8ft 2in). Her gross tonnage is 271, noticeably larger than the earlier 35m Benetti Classic at 247GT. The profile shows Giorgio Cassetta’s soft exterior curves, with generous glass and clean deck lines.
At the stern, the transom door folds down to create a broad swim platform and reveal a garage designed to carry a Williams 505 tender, diving gear and seabobs. Jet skis can be positioned either on the foredeck or on the sundeck. Twin staircases rise to the main afterdeck, where loose furniture and a clear working area for mooring make this the main guest entry point.
The upper aft deck is set out with a circular dining table for al fresco meals, complemented by a built-in corner sofa. Moving forward, the foredeck offers a lounge with bench seating, a sunbathing zone and a raised jacuzzi tub. Steps cleverly divide the guest spaces from the working anchor gear and forward toy storage, keeping technical kit out of sight.
The sundeck runs the full length of the yacht, with sunbeds aft, a bar and dining area amidships, and a further seating arrangement forward. Glass balustrades on this level and the upper deck enhance the views and give the spaces an open feel.
Interior Design
Curved glass doors slide open from the aft deck into the main salon. Inside, sweeping contours and rounded cabinetry set the mood, with Cassetta’s design favouring custom-built curved panels that soften each space. The lounge is arranged with sofas aft and a dining area forward, framed by full-height windows.
A starboard-side lobby leads past a day head to the owner’s suite entrance. The gentle split-level here shows smart use of space, raising the stateroom slightly for more beam and allowing extra headroom below for the crew area.
The sky lounge takes advantage of the broad upper deck, with large windows brightening the room. Two circular cabinets anchor the corners, one disguising an air handler, the other used as a stylish storage piece. A custom sofa follows the curve of this cabinetry. Just aft, a bar with four refrigerated drawers supports the exterior dining setup.
The galley on the main deck is compact but well considered, fitted with two tall fridges, a full-height freezer and a pantry. A dumb waiter connects directly to the sky lounge and sundeck. Crew note the amount of storage built in here, which makes longer provisioning easier.
On the bridge deck, the wheelhouse is designed for clarity. Black panels reduce glare at night and upright windscreens cut reflections during the day. A chart table sits beside the main consoles, while the captain’s cabin is positioned directly off the bridge.
Accommodation
Bella Vita accommodates 10 guests across 5 staterooms. The main deck owner’s suite is accessed through a private study and finished in contrasting tones of light and dark wood. The bathroom arrangement offers his-and-hers spaces with a shared central shower.
On the lower deck there are four further staterooms: two doubles and two twins, one with a Pullman berth. Each has an en suite bathroom, and the curved doors continue the interior design theme.
Crew are housed forward on the lower deck, in three twin-berth cabins, each with its own bathroom. The crew mess and laundry area sit adjacent, with two washers and a dryer, plus an additional dryer placed in the garage. In total the yacht carries 7 crew, including the captain.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12-1400) 12-cylinder 1,400hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Bella Vita is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 8,718 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,200 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
Amenities
Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
