Alegre is a 40.24m motor yacht for sale delivered by Italian shipyard Benetti in 2019. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Stefano Righini, while her interiors are the work of Zuretti.

Key Features

  • Forward Jacuzzi terrace
  • 3,400nm cruising range
  • Large upper deck skylounge
  • Main deck owner’s suite

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.18m beam and a 2.23m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 346 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the eleventh yacht built on the Classic Supreme 132' design. Launched in May 2018 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in July 2019.

Exterior Design

Alegre is the eleventh Benetti Classic Supreme 132, and Stefano Righini’s exterior has aged rather well. At 40.24m (132ft), she has the familiar Benetti combination of a substantial GRP displacement hull and a relatively light looking superstructure, with long dark window bands doing much of the work of stretching the profile. The white finish keeps things crisp, and there is enough shape through the sheer and upper decks to stop what is quite a high volume yacht looking bulky.

The foredeck is much more than a working area. Ahead of the wheelhouse is a large guest terrace with a Jacuzzi, sunpads and seating, giving Alegre a proper private retreat away from the busier aft decks. From above, it is clear how much of the bow has been handed over to guests, with the lounging area set well inside the rails and separated from the anchoring gear farther forward.

Aft, the decks are stacked in a more traditional way. The main deck provides a shaded cockpit and direct access into the saloon, while the upper deck has another large terrace immediately outside the skylounge. The sun deck then becomes the main outdoor gathering space, with dining, bar seating and a broad area for sun loungers. It is a layout that gives guests somewhere different to go throughout the day instead of asking one deck to do all the heavy lifting.

The overhead view also shows how cleanly the circulation works. Wide side decks connect the bow and stern, exterior stairs link the aft decks without forcing guests back inside, and the Jacuzzi remains separate from the larger sun deck social area above. Alegre may predate the current fashion for enormous beach clubs, but she has plenty of usable outdoor space spread sensibly across the yacht.

Interior Design

Alegre’s original interior was created by Mexican architect Ezequiel Farca with the Benetti Interior Style Department, using contrasting pale and dark finishes across eucalyptus, oak and beech, together with Limestone, Greystone, Striato Olimpico and Nero Assoluto marble.

The current interior retains a light, contemporary character, with soft mineral greys, pale timber and relatively restrained furniture. Large windows run along the main and upper decks, so the rooms get plenty of natural light and broad views without needing highly reflective or heavily decorative finishes to brighten them up.

The main saloon combines a large lounge aft with formal dining forward, keeping both functions within one long room. The layout gives the dining table some separation without shutting it away, while direct access to the aft deck makes the saloon easy to use day to day.

The upper deck skylounge provides a second indoor social space and sits directly beside the aft terrace. That extra room earns its keep on longer trips, when guests do not necessarily want every evening to revolve around the main saloon.

Accommodation

Alegre accommodates 10 guests in five cabins, with the owner’s suite forward on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck.

The full beam owner’s suite is entered through a large private lobby and relaxation area before reaching the bedroom itself. There is also a separate office, generous wardrobe space and a substantial bathroom arrangement, giving the suite more depth than a simple bedroom placed across the beam.

Four guest cabins sit together below, arranged as three doubles and one twin.

Crew quarters sit forward on the lower deck, with accommodation for around seven crew in the original arrangement, together with their own galley and dinette. The captain is positioned separately close to the wheelhouse, which keeps the working side of the yacht largely out of the guest accommodation.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M72) 1,450hp engines, motor yacht Alegre is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 45,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,400 nautical miles at 11 knots.
