Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.65m beam and a 2.29m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 453 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the CRN 43 design.
Exterior Design
Emotion 2 is a 42.67m (140ft) CRN motor yacht with exterior design by Zuccon International Project, and the profile balances volume with clean, stretched lines. The bow has a fine entry, while the long glazing bands and low superstructure help reduce the visual height across her 453GT, so she carries her size with some restraint.
Deck spaces are layered across three levels, and they link well without feeling forced. The aft main deck works as a natural arrival point with a shaded lounge, while steps lead down to the swim platform and beach club or up to the bridge deck. Walkaround side decks run forward to the Portuguese bridge, where guest seating faces out over the bow, and crew movement stays mostly to port so guest areas remain uninterrupted.
At the stern, the fold-down transom opens the yacht up at water level, forming a wide swim platform that connects directly to the beach club. This space includes a gym and sauna, so it goes beyond a simple swim zone and becomes a proper day area by the water. A side-loading tender garage handles launching duties, which frees up the stern and keeps the layout clean.
The bridge deck aft is set up for open-air dining with a table for 12, a serving buffet and full-beam seating aft, and removable weather screens allow the space to stay in use when conditions shift. Above, the sundeck spreads out with a forward Jacuzzi set into a D-shaped sunpad, a wet bar with stools, loose lounge seating and a drop-down cinema screen under the hardtop. Aft sections double as toy storage with a crane, and even include a golf tee, so the deck works for both downtime and activity.
Interior Design
Inside, Zuccon’s design uses light tones and simple materials to keep the spaces open and easy to use, with cream and white finishes set against cherry wood joinery. Large windows run through the main and upper decks, so daylight carries across the interior and keeps the rooms from feeling enclosed.
The main saloon connects directly to the aft deck through full-height sliding glass doors, and a bar positioned just inside the entrance helps the space function as a social hub from the start. Lounge seating is arranged around a large sectional sofa with armchairs and a cocktail table, while storage and entertainment systems are built into the cabinetry to keep the layout tidy. Forward, the dining area centres on a large table for 12, framed by glass cabinets and a backlit onyx bulkhead that adds depth without overwhelming the room.
Access to the galley sits to port of the dining area, with direct links to the pantry, crew route and owner’s foyer, so service runs quietly in the background. The galley itself has been updated with new refrigeration, appliances and storage, and benefits from a large window over the workspace.
Up on the bridge deck, the full-beam skylounge shifts the feel toward something more relaxed, with a U-shaped sofa facing a pop-up TV, occasional chairs and a formal bar supported by a dedicated butler’s pantry. This space opens straight onto the aft deck dining area, so it works as an extension of the exterior rather than a separate room.
Accommodation
Emotion 2 accommodates up to 11 guests across five staterooms, with a layout that uses the full beam where it matters most.
The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and spans the full width, with a king berth, private office, large walk-in wardrobe and his-and-hers marble bathrooms, each with separate WC and bidet, joined by a central shower. A private balcony on the starboard side includes a tub and switchable privacy glass, and because the balcony is fixed, it can be used at any time without crew setup.
Guest accommodation is located on the lower deck and arranged as three queen cabins and one twin with a Pullman berth, allowing up to nine guests across these four suites. Each cabin includes an ensuite bathroom, desk, storage and safe, and the large triple-pane hull windows bring in natural light and proper sea views, which changes the feel compared to more enclosed layouts.
Crew accommodation supports a team of nine, with access routed from the port side deck through the pantry and down to the lower deck. This area includes a crew mess with kitchenette and four bunked cabins, each with ensuite facilities. The captain’s cabin sits aft of the bridge with a queen berth, private office and ensuite, keeping command close to the helm while still separated from guest areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 1,400hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Emotion 2 is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 50,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,200 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Emotion 2 also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
