Tell Me Why is an award winning 88'8" motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Wally in 2021. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Luca Bassani Design, while her interiors are the work of Vallicelli Design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 25'2" beam and a 6'7" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 199 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the wallywhy200 design.
Exterior Design
Byeee is the first of the semi-displacement WallyWhy200 series, representing one of the most innovative yachts in its class. Its futuristic styling and high axe bow, dubbed the “wow bow” by Wally, contribute to a volume greater than that of a full-displacement yacht of similar length, under 24 meters (78 feet).
The high bow results from a design approach starting from the hull up. Laurent Giles Naval Architects from the U.K. collaborated with Ferretti’s technical office on a composite hull form that both lifts like a planing hull and displaces like a displacement yacht. This bow, standing more than 15 feet above the waterline, ensures the yacht can cut through waves and maintain high cruising speeds even in rough conditions.
Byeee features a glass bridge, a wide-body lounge, and a shaded aft terrace on the upper deck. It also boasts a transformer-style swim platform, two side-opening garages on the main deck aft for a tender and water toys, and fold-down bulwarks that extend the beach club area.
Interior Design
Wally asserts that Byeee offers up to 50 percent more living space than similar-sized yachts. The loft-style salon spans the full beam, covering an area of 60.9sq/m (656sq/ft).This open-plan layout, a Wally hallmark, features stylish yet understated furnishings and a natural color palette.
The teak flooring visually connects the salon with the aft deck. There's a show kitchen/bar to port, while the main galley is located on the lower deck in the crew quarters. A standout feature is the carbon-fiber staircase, which connects all three decks. This single-piece staircase floats in its glass enclosure, resembling a modern sculpture.
The owner's stateroom includes twin bathrooms on either side, followed by an island bed surrounded by a continuous strip of glazing for panoramic views. Byeee is the first yacht to feature this unique design, not just for a yacht the size of the WallyWhy200, but for any yacht.
The dining area includes a Crown table designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, with seating for eight. Black trim highlights the large windows and a soft grey rug sits atop wooden flooring that matches the cladding on the bulwarks. The main salon features a soft neutral palette, with slim marble-top tables on black bases and light sand sofas with black trim.
Accommodation
Tell Me Why offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 1 VIP cabin and 2 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 4 x diesel Volvo Penta (D-13 IPS) 1,350hp engines, motor yacht Tell Me Why is capable of reaching a top speed of 21 knots, and comfortably cruises at 17 knots. With her 3,170 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

In addition, Tell Me Why features a beach club where those on board can enjoy unwinding close to the water. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
