Debut Models to Watch
A major theme of FLIBS 2025 is the strength of its new-model presence, with several world and U.S. debuts signaling key trends for the coming year.
Palm Beach PB85 Sedan makes its world premiere as the largest new model at this year’s show. Delivered earlier in 2025, the 28-meter yacht Falcon represents the line, showcasing Palm Beach’s craftsmanship and signature low-profile styling. The PB85’s open-plan saloon flows directly to the aft cockpit, forming a unified social hub, while below deck three to five cabins accommodate up to six guests. Built in GRP for speed and efficiency, the Palm Beach yacht cruises at 23 knots and tops out at 26.
From Italy, the Sanlorenzo SL86A marks its U.S. debut, introducing the Asymmetric concept to a more compact 27-meter platform. Developed with Zuccon International Project, the yacht shifts the port-side deck to expand interior volume, creating a light-filled saloon with panoramic visibility. A four-cabin layout accommodates eight guests, while GRP construction and planing performance allow speeds up to 29 knots. The SL86A appears alongside two further U.S. debuts for Sanlorenzo: the 30-meter SX100 and the 28-meter SP92, both designed to capture American cruising lifestyles through open layouts and contemporary interiors.
Also making its U.S. debut, the 27-meter Wally wallywhy200 brings its award-winning architectural design to Fort Lauderdale, defined by a forward master suite enclosed in wraparound glass and a 200GT GRP hull powered by Volvo IPS drives. Joining it, Poland’s Sunreef Yachts presents the 60 Sunreef Power under its new NEXT design philosophy, alongside the larger 80 Sunreef Power. The model’s solar-integrated structure and optional electric propulsion highlight Sunreef’s focus on efficiency, customization, and sustainable luxury for the American market.
Beyond the Fleet: Forums, Lifestyle, and Innovation
Beyond the yachts, FLIBS 2025 continues to grow as an all-encompassing marine lifestyle event. Visitors can expect a packed program including the annual Superyacht Village showcase at Pier Sixty-Six, on-water sea trials, and design forums focused on sustainable propulsion and yacht technology.
The Windward VIP Club returns with expanded amenities, while the Aquazone and marine equipment exhibits highlight innovations in tenders, water toys, and hybrid propulsion systems.
The 2025 FLIBS underscores the city’s position as a global crossroads for luxury yachting. With 158 superyachts, 75 debuts, and a total fleet value approaching $2 billion, the show is set to present high-end craftsmanship with real-time insight into the market’s direction. From world premieres like the Palm Beach PB85 Sedan to the commanding presence of Casino Royale, this year’s edition demonstrates why Fort Lauderdale remains the definitive stage for yachting in the Americas.
