Designed in collaboration with Yacht Design Works, the 11m model introduces a fresh layout focused on day boating while adding the capability for overnight cruising, carrying forward the SUV-inspired styling first introduced on the flagship Aquila 45 Sport while bringing several new layout solutions to a more compact platform.
Four social zones maximize onboard living
One of the defining characteristics of the Aquila 35 Sport is its 14ft 9in (4.49m) beam, which Aquila says delivers more usable deck space than a monohull of comparable length.
That extra width has been used to create four distinct social areas spread across the boat. Forward, a bow lounge provides seating for several guests, while the central helm accommodates four forward-facing seats beneath a hardtop. A convertible aft cockpit serves as the primary entertaining space, and the expansive hardtop itself has been designed as an additional lounge area while also supporting watersports equipment.
Among the more unusual features of the yacht is a power-sliding U-shaped cockpit seating module. At the touch of a button, the seating shifts to port or starboard, widening the side deck for boarding or docking while also providing easier access to deck hatches below. The backrest can also be repositioned to transform the cockpit into an aft-facing sun pad overlooking the swim platform.
A driver-focused helm with panoramic views
Aquila has placed considerable emphasis on the driving experience, designing the helm around clear visibility and straightforward operation. The low-profile dashboard creates unobstructed sightlines around the motor yacht, while all primary controls are positioned within easy reach of the skipper.
Four individual helm seats, complete with armrests, recessed footrests and bolster cushions, allow passengers to remain alongside the driver rather than separating the helm from the main social spaces. According to the builder, the arrangement is intended to make the boat approachable for less experienced owners while still offering the confidence expected from a modern performance catamaran.
A cabin built for weekend escapes
Although developed primarily as a dayboat, the Aquila 35 Sport includes overnight accommodation for two guests. Below deck, a private cabin features a queen-size berth with a memory foam mattress, overhead skylight, opening portlights and integrated storage. A separate head includes a shower, allowing owners or couples to comfortably extend trips beyond a single day.
Owners can also specify an optional lithium battery package capable of powering the air conditioning and heating while at anchor without the need to run a generator, creating a quieter onboard environment during overnight stays.
The Aquila 35 Sport is powered as standard by twin Mercury Verado V8 300hp outboards, with an optional upgrade to twin Mercury Verado V10 400hp engines. Both engine packages are paired with a double-stepped catamaran hull intended to provide responsive acceleration alongside the stable ride characteristics typically associated with multihulls.
