The 26.2m motor yacht Escapement was delivered to her owners in 2022 by British shipyard Princess. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Pininfarina, while Bernard Olesinski is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Louvred flybridge roof with awning
  • Dual helm with side deck access
  • Zero speed stabilisation for comfort
  • Electro-hydraulic bathing platform lift

Design & Construction

Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.3m beam and a 1.77m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 110 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Escapement is finished with extensive teak decking that spans the transom platform, cockpit, side decks, flybridge, and foredeck, adding warmth and continuity across all exterior walkways. On the flybridge, guests find forward-facing seating, a U-shaped lounge, and a wet bar complete with double barbecue, refrigeration, and aft sunbeds. Protective screens and another upgraded audio system elevate this area further. The louvred hardtop overhead integrates a folding bimini for flexible shade.

Forward, the bow features a generous U-shaped seating area paired with sunpads, each with adjustable teak headrests - a versatile spot for either upright lounging or full relaxation in the sun.

The yacht is equipped with a robust twin anchor system comprising galvanised claw anchors and hydraulic winches, controllable from multiple stations. At the stern, docking is aided by electric sternline winches, stainless steel fairleads, and ample mooring cleats.

The bathing platform is also teak-laid and includes an electro-hydraulic lift, integrated bathing ladder, and access steps revealed when lowered. Underwater lighting is thoughtfully positioned across the transom, cockpit sides, and beneath the master cabin windows, enhancing the yacht’s night-time silhouette.

Additional deck features include freshwater wash points, rope lockers, and concealed liferaft storage for clean, uncluttered lines.

The flybridge on Escapement is built for all seasons, with louvres and a retractable bimini ready to adapt.

Interior Design

Inside, the main saloon is arranged with twin L-shaped sofas and a two-seater to starboard, all focused around a central coffee table. A large TV rises elegantly from concealed storage, and a ceiling-mounted speaker system delivers upgraded audio throughout. Wide sliding doors create a seamless connection with the aft deck.

Moving forward, a formal dining area features an expandable table with seating for eight, framed by a panoramic window that pulls natural light into the space. Storage for glassware and drinks is integrated discreetly into the cabinetry.

The galley follows a bar-style open layout, equipped for serious onboard catering. A powered privacy screen offers division when needed, while a pantograph door provides direct access to the side deck. Cooking appliances include a four-zone induction hob, combination oven, full-height fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and icemaker, with plentiful cupboards for provisioning. Nearby sits a dedicated washer/dryer, with a second set located in the crew quarters.

At the helm, leather-upholstered seats include powered adjustment for the helmsman. Navigation is handled via an extensive suite of electronics: radar, dual GPS/chartplotters, autopilot, VHF, and electronic engine controls, all part of a dual-station setup. For practical access and ventilation, there’s a helm side door to the deck and a drop window opposite.

Accommodation

Escapement accommodates up to 8 guests in four guest cabins, with separate space for up to 4 crew.

The full-beam owner’s suite is designed with a large bed, dressing area, and occasional seating, along with a built-in safe. Panoramic hull windows feature opening portholes, while the in-room entertainment is elevated by a full-height TV and enhanced sound system with subwoofer. The en suite bathroom includes twin sinks, a heated towel rail, a separate toilet and bidet space, and a walk-in shower.

Forward, the VIP stateroom offers a walk-in wardrobe, dressing table, and an en suite with shower and opening window. The two guest cabins are located to port and starboard - one fitted with twin beds that convert into a double, the other with a fixed double - both with storage, hull windows, and private en suites.

Crew accommodation is accessed via the transom and starboard side deck. It includes a captain’s cabin and a twin cabin, each with their own lighting and storage. The crew area also features a shared bathroom, dinette-style mess, and a utility space complete with microwave, fridge, sink, and laundry machines.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12-1900) 12-cylinder 1,900hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Escapement is capable of reaching a top speed of 29 knots, and comfortably cruises at 25 knots.

Escapement’s full-beam owner’s suite is a quiet escape with panoramic views and hotel-style luxury.
