The update follows the Sunseeker 134 Superyacht’s debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival and the confirmed sale of hull one at boot Düsseldorf 2026. Built for an experienced owner based on the U.S. West Coast, the yacht will be their third Sunseeker. A second hull has also been sold, with construction expected to begin once the first yacht is demolded.
The milestone was marked by a ceremonial gathering at the yard, where Chief Operating Officer Steve Timms addressed the workforce, recognizing the scale of collaboration behind the project. More than 100 qualified boatbuilders will be involved in the build, highlighting the level of skill and coordination required at this stage.
A New 40m Superyacht Platform
The Sunseeker 134 sits at the top of the builder’s evolving superyacht portfolio and introduces a new flagship concept for the British yard. Measuring approximately 40.5 meters with a beam of 7.9 meters and a draft of 2.4 meters, the yacht is expected to measure around 340 GT.
Exterior design and naval architecture have been developed in house by Sunseeker. The profile features elongated lines, sculpted superstructure forms, and extensive hull glazing designed to draw natural light into the lower deck accommodation. A redesigned forward window arrangement incorporates reverse-angle glazing, giving the model a more contemporary visual identity.
Ewen Foster, Chief Design Officer at Sunseeker International, described the milestone as an important moment for the team behind the project.
“This is a very proud moment for our design and engineering team,” he said. “From bow to stern, the 134 Superyacht external design and internal layout have been developed with the sole intent of elevating the very nature of life at sea.”
Outdoor Living and Beach-Level Design
Exterior areas have been arranged around extended outdoor living. The aft cockpit, upper deck terrace, and flybridge can be configured with different layouts depending on owner preference.
Optional features include a spa tub, extended hardtop, and a secondary flybridge helm station. At water level, the yacht incorporates an extended swim platform and beach club area designed to strengthen the connection with the sea. The yacht also features a tender launch system capable of housing a Williams 565 tender alongside two Jet Skis, simplifying access to water-based activities.
Power comes from twin MTU engines, with the standard configuration using MTU 12V 2000 M96X units and an optional upgrade to MTU 16V 2000 M97L engines.
Light-Filled Interiors by Design Unlimited
Interior design for the Sunseeker 134 has been developed with British studio Design Unlimited. Large windows run along both sides of the main deck, bringing natural light into the saloon and dining areas. Current renderings show a neutral palette with contemporary furnishings, while owners are given wide scope to customize materials, finishes, and details.
The layout of the motor yacht also incorporates an upper-deck skylounge, providing an additional interior gathering space separate from the main saloon below.
Accommodation is arranged for up to 10 guests across five staterooms. The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and benefits from panoramic windows and a private position away from guest traffic.
A New Phase for Sunseeker
The construction milestone comes during a period of transition for the British builder following its recent acquisition by investment consortium KCP Holdings.

Sunseeker’s Production Range Continues to Drive Order Book
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Sunseeker currently has more than 30 yachts on order or under construction, with steady demand across several established models. Among the most active in the pipeline are the 82 Ocean Enclosed, the 90 Ocean, and the 100 Yacht.
The Sunseeker 82 Ocean Enclosed has proven popular for its enclosed upper deck concept, which introduces a penthouse-style saloon with expansive glazing and increased interior volume. Positioned above it, the Sunseeker 90 Ocean targets owners seeking the space of a compact superyacht within a flybridge platform, featuring a waterside terrace and an optional enclosed upper deck that alters the main deck layout.
At the top of this group, the Princess 100 Yacht remains one of Sunseeker’s most recognizable tri-deck designs, defined by its full-length upper deck, X-TEND transom system, and a main deck owner’s suite paired with a private bow terrace. Independent YachtBuyer reviews awarded both the 90 Ocean and the 100 Yacht strong 4.5-star ratings, placing them just short of the five-star score required for entry into the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame.
With hull construction now underway, the Sunseeker 134 program moves into its next phase ahead of the model’s planned delivery in 2027.
