Known for its larger electric and hybrid multihulls, the yard is now applying its technology and design approach to a more compact platform scheduled for launch later this spring.
The inaugural hull is due to be delivered shortly after sea trials, and the shipyard has confirmed that a second unit has already been sold, with construction of the yacht currently underway.
A Strategic Step Into the Sub-24m Market
At 19 meters in length, the VisionF 65 Hybrid introduces the brand’s design language and hybrid propulsion philosophy to a smaller format. Until now, the builder has focused primarily on larger multihull projects above 24 meters, many of which use fully electric propulsion.
The new model, therefore, represents a strategic expansion of the yard’s portfolio. By moving into the 65-foot segment, VisionF aims to attract owners interested in the space and stability of a catamaran while retaining the efficiency and energy management systems developed for its larger superyachts.
The design also reflects a shift toward accessibility. Compared with the shipyard’s larger aluminum yachts, the 65 Hybrid is intended as a more production-oriented model, built around a semi-custom concept that gives buyers flexibility in layout and finishes.
A Wide-Beam Catamaran Platform
The catamaran configuration plays a central role in the vessel’s spatial arrangement. Twin hulls support the superstructure and create a broad deck platform, resulting in generous interior volume and wide exterior circulation areas. Large windows along the main salon bring natural light into the living spaces, while the flybridge introduces an additional open-air deck designed for social use.
Accommodation is arranged for up to eight guests across four cabins, including a spacious owner’s suite and additional guest cabins located within the hulls. Separate crew quarters provide space for up to four crew members.
The wide catamaran beam also supports a larger master cabin than typically found on a motor yacht of this size. Broad glazing and direct connections between interior areas and the surrounding decks contribute to an open onboard environment, with the main salon functioning as the central gathering space and the flybridge serving as an elevated lounge and entertainment area.
Constructed in GRP composite, the VisionF 65 Hybrid features a maximum beam of 9 meters and a design draft of 1.3 meters, giving the 19-meter platform a notably wide footprint on the water. Light displacement stands at 60 tonnes, rising to approximately 70 tonnes when fully loaded, and the yacht carries CE Category A certification for offshore cruising.
Hybrid Propulsion, Solar Energy, and Composite Construction
Energy generation is supplemented by an array of 42 solar panels installed across the upper structure of the yacht. These panels feed the onboard energy management system and contribute to charging the battery banks, creating a reserve of stored electricity that can power onboard systems when the yacht is at anchor.
According to the shipyard, this solar-supported setup is intended to significantly reduce reliance on generators during overnight stays, with hotel loads able to draw directly from the battery reserves.
The VisionF 65 Hybrid is powered by twin Volvo Penta D8-450 diesel engines supported by an integrated hybrid energy system designed to reduce onboard fuel consumption and generator use. Alongside the main propulsion units, the yacht carries a 20 kW auxiliary electric power system supported by battery banks totaling 101 kWh at 48VDC and a further 23 kWh at 24VDC.
First Hull Scheduled for Launch This Spring
The first VisionF 65 Hybrid has been developed as a demonstration unit for the new series. By building the initial yacht as a fully realized example of the concept, the yard aims to present the model to prospective buyers in a completed format while keeping the platform adaptable for future orders.
With the 65, VISIONF Yachts aims to preserve the brand’s core values while offering a more accessible format for owners seeking efficiency, liveability and contemporary hybrid technology."

Launch of the inaugural hull is planned within the coming month. Following sea trials, delivery to the owner is scheduled for later in the spring season. The shipyard has also confirmed that a second hull has already been sold, indicating early market interest in the new series as production begins.
A Strategic Addition to the VisionF Model Range
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, the new VisionF 65 Hybrid will enter the range between two very different models in the builder’s portfolio. At the smaller end sits the 14m VisionF Superfast 46, a lightweight carbon fiber sportsboat designed around speed and agility. With a planing hull and twin Mercury Racing V8 450R engines, the Superfast 46 can reach speeds of up to 80 knots, positioning it firmly in the high-performance day boat category rather than long-range cruising.
Above the new 65 Hybrid is the 23.8m VisionF 80 NG, a larger aluminum catamaran designed for slower, more comfortable cruising. The 80 NG accommodates up to eight guests across four cabins and reaches a top speed of around 12 knots.
With the introduction of the 65 Hybrid, VISIONF Yachts expands its portfolio into a segment that continues to attract growing demand for efficient cruising platforms and hybrid propulsion solutions. The model brings the yard’s multihull expertise into a size category where interior volume, energy management, and long-range comfort remain key considerations for owners.
