WATCH: 45m Alia Custom Superyacht Genie Blu Revealed at Launch Ceremony

The 45m custom superyacht Genie Blu has been launched and officially named at Alia Yachts' Antalya facility, with footage of the ceremony providing the first detailed look at the new build ahead of her anticipated 2026 delivery.

The launch video shows Italian entrepreneur, DJ, and social media personality Gianluca Vacchi alongside his partner Sharon Fonseca and their daughter participating in the traditional champagne bottle ceremony before the yacht entered the water.

A First Look at Genie Blu

Developed in collaboration with Luca Dini Design & Architecture, Genie Blu has been conceived around a philosophy that prioritizes openness, light, and a stronger connection with the surrounding environment. Alia's in-house design team worked alongside Luca Dini's studio to further develop the exterior design and create the yacht's interior from concept through completion.

The video also captures the naming ceremony attended by Vacchi, Fonseca, and their daughter. While no official explanation has been provided, the yacht's name, Genie Blu, may reference their daughter Blu and follows the "Genie" naming theme seen on Genie of the Lamp, a 24m sailing yacht by Maxi Dolphin in collaboration with Wally previously linked to Vacchi.

At 45m and with a gross tonnage of 370GT, Genie Blu has been built entirely in aluminum around a semi-displacement hull platform. Her profile is notably restrained, featuring a low, elongated superstructure and extensive glazing that stretches across much of the main deck.

A Design Defined by Simplicity and Openness

Floor-to-ceiling glazing runs along much of the main deck, while drop-down side balconies extend the connection between interior and exterior spaces. The design philosophy is perhaps most evident in the main salon, where expansive glass surfaces and an open-plan arrangement place the sea at the center of the onboard experience. According to Alia and Luca Dini Design & Architecture, the interior has been deliberately kept calm and contemporary, with a restrained palette intended to complement rather than compete with the surrounding views.

Outside, raised cockpit seating descends through a broad cascade of steps toward the swim platform, creating a natural transition to the water. A generous foredeck lounge provides an additional social area, while a discreet sunpad has been incorporated into the upper section of the superstructure.

"The project is based on subtraction rather than addition," said Luca Dini. "We removed barriers, reduced unnecessary volume and opened the yacht wherever possible. The objective was not to maximize gross tonnage, but to maximize the owner's experience of the sea."

Inside Alia's Current Order Book

According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the world's largest yacht database, Alia currently has six yachts either in build or on order. Leading the pipeline is the Alia 65M, scheduled for delivery in 2028. Designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design, the 1,432GT flagship will become the largest yacht ever built by the yard. Key features include a convertible aft pool deck, dual Jacuzzis, and a panoramic owner's suite with full-height glass.

Closer to completion is the recently launched 60m Serenity II. Designed entirely by Vripack, the 1,062GT yacht features an upper-deck owner's apartment, accommodation for up to 14 guests, and a platform originally conceived for Ice Class cruising.

Meanwhile, the 50m Atlantide continues final commissioning ahead of delivery. Built entirely in aluminum with a carbon-fiber superstructure, the custom project pairs Vitruvius exterior styling with Mulder Design naval architecture and is expected to reach speeds of up to 38 knots through her waterjet propulsion system.

Together, these projects underline Alia's growing presence across a broad spectrum of custom yacht construction, from lightweight performance yachts to large-volume steel and aluminum superyachts.
