The hull keeps a fine bow and flattened aft sections so the pods sit close to vertical, which gives firm grip and modest heel at speed. The primary objective of the Nimbus 495 Concept has been to create an expedition vessel – a “voyager” if you like. For this reason, the tank capacity has been dimensioned in order to be able to cover great distances but also to be able to rest calmly in a natural harbour for a long time without worrying about the electricity supply, a source of fresh water or “black water capacity”.
