On Deck

Starting with the sugar scoops - these are really generous in size, with well-shaped, rounded cleats and a removable staple. You get a proper swim ladder and, on this PC68, a hydraulic swim platform that tucks in between the scoops - doubling as a diving platform. It can be raised or lowered as needed. There’s also an option to leave the middle open if you want a beach club vibe, perfect for lounge chairs and soaking up the atmosphere. Wet lockers are built in, handy for stashing shore power cables and water inlets. Everything’s mirrored port and starboard.

In the cockpit, you’ll find a huge, inviting area - alfresco dining set for 8, but you could squeeze 10 around the table. There’s loads of seating with smart storage underneath, all lined to stay dry. Storage is everywhere you look. The beam feels massive thanks to the layout, not just the numbers. Engine rooms sit under the cockpit, ready for inspection.

Docking and refueling are slick - both sides have fuel fills with gauges. The aft docking station features a bow and stern thruster and full shift/throttle controls. A Bosun’s locker is stocked with cleaning kit as part of Horizon’s package.

Utility touches include a sink, drink fridge, and a Scotsman ice maker. There’s what could easily be a fishing rod room - a broom closet sized just right for serious anglers. Fire damper access, Fusion stereo with subwoofer, and smart door hardware keep things safe and protected. Another diesel fuel fill is tucked in, and if you want, the cockpit can be enclosed with a track system for colder climates or privacy.

The two-tier forward balcony is a highlight - the raked forward windows and negative angles update the aesthetic. Wide, safe walkways lead to twin bow lockers with plenty of room for big fenders and gear. The anchor locker is massive, with a color-coded chain, freshwater washdown, bridle setup, and night lighting for after-dark anchoring. Foot switches make anchor handling simple. Both bow lockers are equally spacious.

The flybridge has dual hi-lo tables with inserts for lounging or dining, seating for 8 and then some. The space can be enclosed and air conditioned, so you’re comfortable in any weather. There’s a proper weather-tight door for bad days, but also excellent cross-breeze when open. The table has leaves that extend out, and slides closer or farther depending on your setup. There’s also a dedicated space for a barbecue and a deep freezer for provisioning.

On the upper deck, a Steelhead Marine crane (793.8kg/1750lb capacity) handles a 5.2m (17ft) tender, turning this deck into a blank canvas for whatever you imagine - loungers, deck chairs, or even a DJ station. If the tender’s off, it’s a party deck.

Interior Accommodation

Sliding doors open to an airy salon – this owner chose an open layout, and it feels huge. The galley’s packed with storage; you get a full pantry, fridge with dual freezers, upper cabinets, deep drawers, and a big oven. The drawers are oversized so you can stash a week’s worth of groceries for a crowd. Trash cans are dual, and the cooktop is induction with a Miele hood – all appliances are Miele. There’s a clever open bottle rack for oils and condiments, a dual sink with garbage disposal, and a dishwasher. The rounded corners are a thoughtful touch - no bruised hips here. A towel rack lives right where you need it.

Horizon’s signature bar area is present, with a swing-around counter that’s just plain fun. Shore and generator controls are easily accessed, as are water maker and air con switches, and a water gauge. The switch panels are split for quick access and in-depth control elsewhere.

The bar and dining setup is impressive – display cabinets for glassware, deep bottle drawers, and more storage above. A settee for three sits beside a convertible dining table. This table slides, so you can dine in or out and seat six with ease. The wine cooler keeps things secure underway.

Throughout, the woodwork is very stylish - herringbone patterns on floors, soft lighting, and big windows. Storage is everywhere, and it’s all lockable so nothing rattles underway. The vibe is warm, modern, and built for entertaining or long stays.

Owner's Cabin

The owner’s suite is forward on the main deck, accessed via a private companionway. King-size bed, tons of storage all around, and that herringbone floor continues. There’s a pop-up TV, deep drawers, hanging space, and a seating area for five. The ensuite is split, with a dual vanity, loads of storage, and separate medicine cabinets. The toilet is private, and the shower is big and bright, with at least 2.03m (6.8ft) headroom - feels more like a home than a boat. Exposed shelves are handy for toiletries, and there’s more storage behind. Cedar-lined wardrobes and a dedicated dressing area round things out. Big hull windows bring in light while blinds keep things private.

Guest Accommodation

The VIP sits forward in one hull - king-size bed, wardrobe, TV, and a hatch overhead with blackout and mosquito screen. Headroom is generous (about 2.1m/6.9ft). Storage along the walls and under the bed is deep. The ensuite is roomy, with a large shower (easily fits two if you’re friendly), big counter space, and all the basics covered.

Aft, each hull has a twin guest cabin. Both offer real beds, hanging lockers, exposed storage, and good windows. One twin features a man cave/electronics room tucked away. Access to the breaker panels, Victron energy system, and cable runs is easy as everything’s labeled and organized. Each twin cabin has its own ensuite with head, sink, and a proper shower with opening porthole. One of these ensuites doubles as a day head, with a pocket door for guest privacy.

Crew Accommodation

On this layout, the starboard aft cabin can serve as a crew cabin, but it’s finished to guest standards. There’s a washer and dryer (Miele) and a service area for electronics and laundry.

Performance

The PC68 features twin MAN i6 engines, each rated at 850hp. Access is via two hatches (the two engines are split across the hulls) and you get full standing headroom. Rudder posts and hydraulic systems are aft, with Dometic air con (newer models switch to frequency-driven compressors for lower consumption, letting you spec a smaller generator for less weight and more efficiency). Primary fuel filters, sea strainers, and all seacocks are easy to access. Lighting is smart, with LEDs behind filters and at strainers so you can spot issues without a flashlight.

Cruise at 21 knots (75% load) with a top speed around 25 knots. Range is about 500 nautical miles at cruise and if you drop down to 8-10 knots and you’ll see 1,500 nautical miles, which is pretty versatile for a powercat this size. The port engine room includes a shore power converter, secondary generator, more air con, and another MAN engine. Both spaces are clean, organized, and have room to move around for maintenance.

In Summary

The Horizon PC68 is set up for serious cruising, entertaining, and owner involvement – whether you’re into fishing, long-range passages, or just lounging with friends. The deck spaces are flexible; from the sugar scoops and hydraulic platform to the two-tier bow and flybridge, you’ve got room for every activity. Storage is everywhere, with thoughtful touches for daily life aboard. If you want a powercat that can play host, cruise far, and let you get involved in every aspect of ownership, the PC68 should be under consideration.
