Aladdin is a 40.05m motor yacht for sale delivered by British shipyard Sunseeker in 2017. Her interior design, exterior styling and naval architecture come from the drawing boards of Sunseeker's design team.

Key Features

  • 40m (131.5ft) tri-deck Sunseeker yacht
  • 22-knot top speed
  • Hydraulic beach club platform
  • 1,500nm cruising range

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.09m beam and a 2.85m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 340 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2015. This was the fifth yacht built on the 131 Yacht design. Launched in April 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Sunseeker's Shipyard, Poole yard in United Kingdom where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in July 2017.

Exterior Design

The 40m (131.5ft) Sunseeker 131 Aladdin carries the sharp, layered profile that defines the model, with sweeping dark glazing, tapered deck lines and a strong tri-deck silhouette that keeps the yacht looking long and low despite her 340GT volume. The superstructure narrows as it rises toward the skydeck and hardtop, while the angular mast and radar array add to the aggressive stance.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows dominate the main deck profile and work with the notched bulwarks to pull natural light deep into the interior. Long hull glazing stretches across the guest accommodation below deck, so the lower cabins avoid the enclosed feel often found on yachts in this size range. The deep-V hull shape adds a slightly flared bow and strong forward sections, giving the yacht a purposeful look underway while supporting top speeds of up to 22 knots.

The tri-deck arrangement creates several distinct outdoor living areas. The main aft deck links directly with the salon through sliding glass doors, while the upper deck adds an al fresco dining space for 10 guests beside open lounge seating. The foredeck is arranged with sunpads and built-in seating for quieter use at anchor, and the skydeck carries additional loungers, sofas, a bar and shaded social space beneath the hardtop.

At the stern, the hydraulic transom folds down to form a large swim platform and beach club area with direct sea access. Tender handling and toy storage remain hidden within the clean aft profile, so the waterline stays uncluttered when the garage is closed. Underwater lighting, teak decking with grey caulking and extensive exterior sound upgrades complete a specification aimed at long periods onboard.

Interior Design

Aladdin’s interior uses a restrained contemporary style with light finishes, soft textures and clean architectural lines rather than heavy detailing. Pale furnishings contrast against satin walnut flooring and gloss American walnut cabinetry, while large windows across the main and upper decks keep the living spaces bright throughout the day.

The main salon combines a lounge area aft with a formal dining space forward, arranged in an open-plan layout that keeps long sightlines through the deck. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and wide sliding aft doors connect the salon directly with the exterior seating area, so the main deck carries a strong indoor-outdoor feel.

Up on the upper deck, the skylounge creates a more relaxed social space with large sofas, entertainment systems and direct access to the aft deck dining area. Across the yacht, the AV specification is unusually comprehensive, with Samsung televisions, Harmon Kardon surround systems, Bowers & Wilkins speakers and integrated Sonos streaming throughout guest spaces and exterior decks.

The galley was upgraded beyond the standard specification and fitted with commercial-grade refrigeration, Miele appliances, wine storage for 132 bottles and dumb waiter connections between decks. Crew circulation remains separate from guest areas, helping service move discreetly through the yacht.

Accommodation

Aladdin accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, including a main deck master suite and four guest cabins on the lower deck. Crew accommodation supports up to eight crew members.

The master suite sits forward on the main deck and benefits from large windows on both sides, bringing considerably more natural light than a lower-deck arrangement. The suite includes a private en suite bathroom finished in marble along with generous storage and dressing space.

Below deck, the layout includes two VIP double cabins and two twin cabins, each with additional Pullman berths to increase guest capacity when needed. All guest cabins have marble en suite bathrooms and follow the same calm contemporary styling used throughout the yacht, with light finishes balanced against darker timber detailing.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M93) 3,140hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Aladdin is capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 22 knots. With her 21,650 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht and an inviting spread of sunpads.
