40m Sunseeker 131 Motor Yacht Captain Morgan III Sold

The 40-metre motor yacht Captain Morgan III has been sold, with Ben Ritchie of Y.CO representing the seller and Alex Head of International Yacht Brokerage representing the buyer. Her last known asking price was €13,500,000.

Built by British shipyard Sunseeker and delivered in 2020, Captain Morgan III is the 15th hull from the 131 Yacht series and underwent a refit in 2025. Sunseeker was responsible for her exterior design, interior design and naval architecture. Constructed in GRP, the tri-deck motor yacht has an internal volume of 341GT.

The superyacht has a contemporary interior shaped around large windows and flexible social spaces. The main saloon features lounge and dining areas with floor-to-ceiling glazing, while the upper deck skylounge provides a second, more private living area with elevated views. The emphasis on light-filled social spaces continues across Sunseeker's range, including the Manhattan 68.

Outdoor living onboard the motor yacht is spread across three decks, with the sundeck arranged around a Jacuzzi, wet bar and seating beneath the hardtop. The upper deck aft provides space for alfresco dining, while the Portuguese bow offers a more private lounge with U-shaped seating and sunpads. At the stern, a hydraulic swim platform and integrated garage support access to the water and storage for tenders and toys. Captain Morgan III has an 8.09-metre beam and a 2.7-metre draft. 

The Sunseeker 131 Yacht won Best Yacht Design at the 2017 Asia Boating Awards, where the model was also a finalist for Best Semi Custom Built Yacht above 120ft.

Accommodation is arranged across five cabins, with the main-deck owner's suite positioned forward and featuring large windows, walk-in wardrobes and an en suite with a bathtub and separate shower. The yacht's lower deck houses two double cabins and two twins, with Pullman berths providing additional flexibility for up to 12 guests. Separate accommodation is provided for up to eight crew.

Twin MTU 12V 4000 M93 diesel engines produce a combined 6,276hp, delivering a top speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. Captain Morgan III has a range of 1,500 nautical miles at 12 knots from her 26,700-litre fuel capacity. Sunseeker's performance-focused approach extends across its wider range, including the 76 Yacht.
