Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 59'1" beam and a 13'5" draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 4,402 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2016 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in March 2017.

Exterior Design

Amadea’s commanding exterior is unmistakably the work of Espen Øino, who brought both flair and precision to the 106-meter yacht’s profile. Her sweeping lines, striking proportions, and sculptural form include a showpiece bow ornament in stainless steel - a five-tonne albatross designed by Dutch artist Willem Lenssinck. It was welded directly onto the hull, setting the tone for a yacht where visual drama meets detailed craftsmanship.

One of the standout features is the 10-meter infinity pool on the aft main deck. Water spills over a glass wall etched with the yacht’s backlit name, while sun loungers on either side appear to float outward like wings - a deliberate visual gesture that captures movement and elegance. Just below, the beach club welcomes guests from the custom-designed Windy tenders, providing an impressive entrance framed in teak.

Elsewhere, the yacht reveals a series of quiet retreats. At the forward end of the superstructure, each deck features a private nook tucked beneath overlapping wing-like extensions - a clamshell configuration that gives this part of the yacht a layered, shell-like appearance when viewed from above. Cushions and loungers transform these corners into peaceful havens.

The upper deck is given over to entertainment, featuring a powerful built-in sound system, lighting rig, and lasers. A spa pool doubles as a stage, complete with plug-in access for DJs and live performers. Outdoor cooking options include a teppanyaki grill, rotisserie, hog-roaster, and even a crane to take equipment ashore for a beach party. The structure of the deck itself was shaped to support these entertainment systems - nothing was left to chance.

Lighting throughout the exterior is cleverly integrated. LED strips trace furniture lines and stainless-steel supports for awnings, creating an understated glow after dark. Even practical features, such as the ensign staff, reveal attention to detail - its hydraulic mechanism allows it to rotate inboard for maintenance.

A helipad at the bow supports aircraft up to 3.5 tonnes, including models like the Agusta 109 or EC135. It even features a glide path indicator, a feature far beyond classification requirements. The full-beam tender garage houses a limousine tender, a beach lander, and a custom cabrio sports boat known on board as the “boss boat” - all designed to mirror Amadea’s aesthetic.

Amadea’s 10-meter infinity pool sets a bold tone from the very first step on board.

Interior Design

François Zuretti’s interior design for Amadea blends classical styling with contemporary warmth. The main saloon makes a bold first impression with its double-height atrium, leather-bound walls, and a full-beam dining table beneath a ceiling painted with Michelangelo-inspired clouds. A custom-built, hand-painted Pleyel grand piano anchors the room - its gold hardware and floral detailing echoing 18th-century influences, in keeping with the owner’s request for classic European elegance.

The palette inside leans into soft amber tones, with backlit shelves of whisky and brandy lending a rich, golden glow to the bars. Across the yacht, materials include onyx, rare woods, and intricate inlay work, while subtle LED accents highlight furniture and architectural features. Technology is tightly integrated but discreet - lighting, blinds, and audiovisual systems are all controlled via dedicated iPads, and over 6,500 devices have been installed throughout the interior.

Dining extends beyond the traditional settings. Up top, a winter patio creates an atmospheric space for up to 24 guests, surrounded by lush ferns and painted vines. Water trickles down a slate wall, while filtered light from opaque ceiling panels mimics natural daylight. This area is served by a show kitchen with gleaming copper cookware, a professional-grade grill, and a lobster tank - intended not only for service, but also for guests to enjoy a more interactive culinary experience.

Elsewhere on board, a private cinema is tucked into the bridge deck. A retractable screen and projector transform the space when needed, but the real surprise is the motion-controlled seating system, which responds dynamically to scenes onscreen. A bar at the back even hides a built-in popcorn machine.

Zuretti’s interior concept favours comfort as much as grandeur. Small, cosy corners appear throughout, from quiet reading alcoves to a gentlemen’s club-style office with hand-painted world maps on the ceiling.

Accommodation

Amadea provides luxurious accommodation for up to 16 guests in eight staterooms. The layout includes a palatial owner’s suite, a VIP cabin, five doubles, and one twin. Each is styled with the same high attention to detail found throughout the yacht, using rich materials, refined furnishings, and generous space.

The owner’s deck is a retreat in itself. Beyond the bedroom, there’s a dressing room, an ornate bathroom with a semi-recessed bath, a private office, a gym, and an expansive lounge and dining space. Aft, the deck features a convertible circular dining table that extends to seat up to 16. Further aft, a mosaic-lined spa pool is set into the private terrace, with a fibre-optic night sky overhead. The ceiling recreates the constellations in remarkable detail using thousands of tiny light points - each twinkling thanks to a hidden rotating disc.

Amadea is designed to support a professional crew of up to 36.
