Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement fiberglass hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 7.92m beam and a 1.98m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 333 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2008. This was the second yacht built on the Westport W130 design. She was delivered to her owners in August 2009.
Exterior Design
The 39.6m (130ft) Westport motor yacht Ostara uses a classic raised pilothouse layout, and it combines a flared bow with a broad beam and high volume superstructure. The white hull and superstructure are paired with long bands of dark glazing, so the profile reads clean while still carrying its full height.
The bow is wide and practical, and it includes open deck space with sunpads as well as storage for jet skis, so it works as both a guest area and a utility zone. The forward superstructure steps back into a private terrace space on the upper level, and this adds another outdoor seating area with direct views ahead.
Along the sides, large rectangular windows run through the main and upper decks, and these bring light deep into the interior while also lowering the visual weight of the build. The pilothouse sits raised and forward, and the mast structure above carries radar domes and communication systems in a compact arrangement.
Aft, the main deck is arranged as a sheltered lounge and dining space, and it connects directly to the swim platform via twin staircases. The bridge deck aft extends this outdoor use with additional seating and gym equipment, while the sundeck sits above with a jacuzzi, sunpads, and dining space, so each level adds a clear function.
The overall layout follows a familiar Westport structure, and it focuses on usable deck areas across all levels rather than concentrating space in one location.
Interior Design
Inside, Ostara uses raised-panel mahogany as the base material, and this is paired with marble, granite, and onyx accents, so the finish stays consistent across all decks. The tone is warm and traditional, and lighter soft furnishings balance the darker wood.
The main salon is arranged as a central social space, and large windows on both sides bring in natural light. Seating is set around a central table, and the layout allows for clear movement between the aft deck and the forward dining area.
The skylounge adds a second interior living space, and it includes lounge seating as well as a fireplace, so it works as a quieter retreat. This deck also connects directly to the exterior bridge deck, and this link keeps indoor and outdoor use closely tied.
The galley is positioned to support both guest areas, and it includes professional equipment and strong storage, so it can handle extended cruising or charter use.
Forward on the main deck, the helm is raised and fitted with full navigation and control systems, and side access doors allow direct movement onto the deck during manoeuvres.
Accommodation
Ostara accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins with 7 crew.
The owner’s suite sits on the main deck forward, and it includes a king-size bed, large windows, and an en suite finished with stone surfaces and full facilities. The position keeps the space private while still close to the main living areas.
On the lower deck, two VIP cabins each use king-size beds, and two twin cabins complete the layout. All guest cabins include en suite bathrooms, storage, and natural light through hull windows.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000) 12-cylinder 2,735hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Ostara is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 40,125 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Ostara also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
