First Westport W135 Yacht to Make World Debut at Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026

The first 41m Westport W135 motor yacht has been confirmed for its world debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, marking the public introduction of the American yard’s latest raised pilothouse platform.

Launched in January 2026, the Westport W135 has already secured two additional sales, with hull two due for delivery later this year and hull three scheduled for early 2027.

A Successor to the W130

The W135 is the direct successor to the Westport W130, a model that shaped Westport’s identity in the semi-displacement 40m class for more than two decades. While the new yacht retains the proven GRP construction and performance profile associated with her predecessor, she introduces a stretched hull form and revised raised pilothouse configuration.

At 40.99m in length, the extended platform increases internal volume and supports updated systems integration, including the capability to accommodate a Selective Catalytic Reduction - SCR - system. This provision aligns the yacht with tightening emissions standards while preserving the 25-knot top speed and long-range cruising capability expected from the yard.

Fully ABS classed, the W135 maintains the balanced proportions typical of Westport’s fleet, yet adopts a more contemporary exterior profile. The raised pilothouse arrangement continues to define the model’s character, improving forward visibility and freeing up additional usable space on the main deck.

Private Owner Suite and Adaptable Lower Deck

Accommodation on board is arranged for up to 10 guests across five staterooms, supported by quarters for five crew. The full-beam owner’s suite is positioned on the main deck and features a centerline king-size bed along with his-and-hers bathrooms. On the lower deck, guest cabins benefit from expanded aft layouts that can accommodate queen-size beds. An additional twin cabin can be configured with a Pullman berth or adapted as an exercise room, adding flexibility for different cruising plans.

The main deck saloon on board the motor yacht connects directly to a formal dining area, while a forward country-style galley supports efficient service without encroaching on guest circulation. Above, the raised pilothouse gives way to a skylounge with panoramic views, establishing a secondary social space that complements the main deck environment.

Entertaining Zones Across Three Levels

The aft main deck provides shaded al fresco dining, while the flybridge incorporates a hot tub and bar arrangement suited to relaxed entertaining. At water level, the beach club features an opening transom, creating direct access to the sea and strengthening the connection between interior and exterior zones.

The raised pilothouse format of the superyacht plays a practical role here as well. By elevating the helm, the design creates additional enclosed volume beneath, improving main deck functionality without increasing overall length beyond the 41m mark.

25-Knot Performance

Powered by twin MTU 16V2000 M97L engines rated at 2,600hp each, the W135 delivers a cruising speed of 20 knots and a reported top speed of 25 knots. The semi-displacement hull form remains central to the yacht’s identity, supporting efficient passagemaking while retaining responsive performance.

The GRP hull and superstructure continue Westport’s established construction methodology, valued for durability and consistent build standards across the fleet. The yard’s Washington State facilities handle production in-house, reinforcing its reputation for quality control and on-time delivery.

The first Westport W135 yacht is on the market with Westport and has a price upon request.

Her debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026 will provide the first opportunity for a broader audience to assess how successfully the W135 advances the 130-foot concept. With updated volume, emissions-ready engineering, and a revised raised pilothouse layout, the model enters the market positioned squarely at owners seeking an American-built 40m yacht with established performance credentials and contemporary spatial planning.
