Cabana is a 34.5m expedition yacht delivered by Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay in 2025. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of VYD Studio, while Arrabito Naval Architects is responsible for her naval architecture.
Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.24m beam and a 2.35m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 330 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Classic 35 design. Launched in May 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2025.
Exterior Design
Cabana is the first hull in the Atlante Classic 35 series, a steel-hulled explorer yacht that reflects a well-balanced mix of capability and Italian styling. Built by Türkiye’s Mengi Yay shipyard in collaboration with an Italian design team, her exterior lines are clean and sharply drawn, shaped by VYD Studio’s Paolo Dose. She carries a purposeful profile with a modern edge, while the full displacement hull is finished in steel, with an aluminium superstructure.
At 34.5m (113.2ft) in length and with a gross tonnage of 330GT, Cabana’s exterior is optimised for long-range cruising and practical leisure use. A defining feature is the sundeck, shaded by a hardtop and designed around sociable, informal use. It includes fixed sunpads for lounging, a dry bar, and a U-shaped dining space that creates a natural centrepiece for relaxed meals on board.
Below, the beach club is equipped with a fold-down transom and houses generous storage for tenders and toys. Its direct access to the water adds to Cabana’s appeal as a liveaboard-style explorer, built with outdoor enjoyment in mind. Across her three decks, the yacht balances lifestyle spaces, technical zones, and guest circulation with a volume more commonly seen on larger yachts.
Interior Design
The interior design of Cabana follows a calm, contemporary Mediterranean aesthetic. VYD Studio worked closely with the owners to develop a palette rooted in soft tones and natural light, using floor-to-ceiling windows and pale woods to open up the space. The atmosphere is quietly elegant, with muted blues and greys playing off light-toned wall panelling and cabinetry.
The furniture and fabrics throughout are high-quality Italian selections, specified in detail by the owners during the design phase. The result is a light, relaxed feel that complements the exterior architecture while delivering a tailored sense of home on the water.
The bridge is integrated within the main layout, and the internal flow maintains clear lines of sight and access between communal areas and the outdoors. The design ensures that social zones feel open yet intimate, while technical and crew routes remain discreet.
Accommodation
Cabana is configured to accommodate up to 10 guests across five ensuite staterooms. The layout has been designed to prioritise both privacy and connection to outdoor spaces, particularly in shared areas such as the main saloon and exterior lounges.
Crew accommodation is separate and functional, with provision for a professional team of 7 to operate long-range itineraries efficiently.
Performance & Capabilities
Cabana’s hull and superstructure combination delivers the rugged integrity of steel with the weight-saving advantages of aluminium. Twin diesel Volvo Penta (D16 MH) 850hp engines running at 1900rpm provide a cruising speed of 11 knots and a top speed of 14.5 knots. With her 40,000 litre fuel tanks, she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots, making her well-suited to extended passages, especially within the Mediterranean.
