Ancora is a 47.3m motor yacht for sale delivered by Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay in 2023. The yacht's refined interiors have been crafted by Red Yacht Design, while her exteriors have been penned by VYD Studio.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.8m beam and a 2.8m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 496 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the third yacht built on the Virtus 47M design. Launched in September 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in October 2023.
Exterior Design
Ancora has the long, low profile of the Mengi Yay Virtus 47 series, with exterior styling by Paolo Dose of VYD Studio and naval architecture by Ginton Naval Architects. Built in steel and aluminium, the yacht balances explorer-style volume with cleaner, more streamlined lines than many yachts approaching 500GT.
The profile is defined by continuous dark glazing that stretches across the superstructure and visually lowers the yacht’s height. A sharply angled bow leads into layered deck lines and deep overhangs, while the dark blue hull contrasts against the silver-grey superstructure above. From the side, the yacht appears almost uninterrupted from bow to stern, especially through the long horizontal glazing bands running along the main and bridge decks.
Outdoor guest areas are spread across four decks and total 292.03m² (3,146.26ft²). The aft main deck provides shaded lounge seating and dining close to the water, while fold-down side terraces expand the usable deck space even further. At water level, the transom folds open into a beach club lined with teak, and additional side-opening sections widen the platform when guests are swimming or boarding tenders.
The sundeck spans 90m² (969ft²) and is arranged as a large social area with freestanding loungers, a jacuzzi, bar seating, dining spaces, and extensive lounge areas beneath the hardtop. Forward on the bridge deck, a raised observation area creates an elevated viewpoint over the bow, while the foredeck itself remains clean and uncluttered.
Ancora also integrates practical cruising features throughout the exterior arrangement. The Castoldi JT16 tender is stored inside an enclosed garage, and the yacht carries twin Sea-Doo RXP300 jet skis alongside substantial technical systems including Humphree stabilisers, Sidepower thrusters, and REM Marine boarding equipment.
Interior Design
The interior of Ancora was designed by Robert Trown & Associates and centres around openness, light, and large entertaining spaces. Floor-to-ceiling glazing runs along both sides of the main saloon, bringing natural light deep into the interior while also maintaining uninterrupted sea views from the lounge and dining areas.
The main saloon spans 56.07m² (610.3ft²) and combines lounge seating with carefully selected stone detailing, accent walls, and contemporary furnishings. Rather than relying on heavy decorative styling, the design uses high-quality finishes, textured surfaces, and muted tones to create a calmer atmosphere throughout the guest spaces.
Forward of the saloon sits the formal dining area, positioned beside a fold-out balcony that allows fresh air and natural ventilation into the space when opened. Artwork and feature lighting help separate the dining space visually from the lounge without interrupting the open-plan arrangement.
The bridge deck sky lounge adds a second interior social area and connects directly to exterior dining and lounge spaces aft. A dedicated bar, wine storage, and adjoining stewardess pantry make the area particularly well suited to evening entertaining or longer stays onboard.
Ancora’s galley is fitted with Miele cooking equipment, Electrolux refrigeration, Hobart dishwashers, and extensive preparation areas. Crew circulation has also been carefully considered, with the crew mess, laundry facilities, and service routes positioned close to the galley for efficient day-to-day operation.
Throughout the yacht, ceiling heights reach 2.10m (6.9ft) across the principal interior guest areas, helping maintain a spacious feel throughout all four decks.
Accommodation
Ancora accommodates up to 10 or 12 guests across five staterooms, while separate quarters support a crew of nine in five cabins.
The owner’s suite occupies a prominent position on the main deck and spans 44.09m² (483.3ft²). Large windows bring substantial natural light into the cabin, while the arrangement includes a private office area, dressing room, walk-in wardrobe, and an ensuite bathroom with double vanities, a rainfall shower, and a jetted bathtub. One of the suite’s defining features is its fold-out private balcony, which creates a direct connection to the sea from the cabin itself.
Guest accommodation is positioned on the lower deck and includes two VIP cabins alongside two convertible cabins where the beds can operate either as twins or doubles depending on guest requirements. The VIP and double cabins each measure 19.02m² (206.7ft²), while the twin cabins measure 17.03m² (186.2ft²). All guest cabins include ensuite bathrooms, integrated entertainment systems, generous wardrobe space, and individual styling details through the headboards and material finishes.
Crew accommodation is arranged separately from guest areas and includes a dedicated crew mess, laundry room, and service spaces to support extended cruising and charter operations.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 1,450hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Ancora is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 50,800 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,100 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
