Design & Construction

Designed around a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.35m beam and a 2.65m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2007. This was the first yacht built on the 46Steel design. Launched in February 2010 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2010.

Exterior Design

Lammouche was the first hull in Sanlorenzo’s 46 Steel series and was a major shift for the yard into larger steel displacement superyachts. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the 46m (151ft) yacht carries a full widebody profile with long horizontal glazing bands, clean overhangs and restrained detailing that give the design a quieter presence than many heavily sculpted modern yachts.

The exterior styling came from Sanlorenzo’s in-house team, with owner input shaping several of the final layout decisions. The cream-toned hull beneath the bright white superstructure softens the yacht’s scale and adds warmth against the dark glazing bands running through the main and upper decks. From certain angles, the profile feels almost architectural rather than aggressive, particularly around the upper deck overhangs and long continuous lines.

Outdoor living areas were arranged around long-range cruising and relaxed social use. The upper deck centres around a circular dining table enclosed by a curved glass semi-rotunda that shields guests from wind without closing off the space. Just aft, bar stools and lounge seating overlook the stern while the rigid bimini above the sundeck casts long shadows across the upper exterior areas during late afternoon light.

The sundeck itself acts as the yacht’s main open-air gathering zone. Beneath the mast structure sits a large elliptical dining table capable of seating up to 14 guests, alongside lounge seating, gym equipment and a forward Jacuzzi. Rather than hiding the fitness area below deck, the owner positioned it outside within the panoramic upper deck setting.

Forward, a Portuguese bridge wraps around the upper superstructure and connects to a foredeck lounge fitted with upholstered seating and a breakfast table. The arrangement creates a private observation area with wide open sightlines over the bow.

One of the more practical exterior decisions concerns tender handling. The main tender is stored to starboard behind a large watertight hull door, allowing the stern beach club and swim platform to remain fully clear for guest use. A separate MOB tender stays forward beneath a foredeck hatch.

Interior Design

Francesco Paszkowski designed the interior around contrast and openness rather than overt decoration. Light wall panels, pale fabrics and large glazing sections sit against dark timber floors and darker wood detailing throughout the yacht. The balance gives the interior a calm, contemporary atmosphere while still retaining warmth expected aboard an Italian-built displacement yacht.

The owner deliberately avoided overly formal arrangements in favour of larger open living spaces. Most notably, the main deck saloon has no dedicated dining table. Instead, the entire deck was left open to maximise the sense of scale within the lounge area. As a result, the saloon stretches unusually far forward for a yacht in this size range and feels closer to a loft-style living area than a traditional compartmentalised superyacht salon.

Large glass sections reinforce the open atmosphere throughout the yacht. The upper deck dining room uses sliding glass doors and full-height windows to blur the divide between interior and exterior dining. Even circulation areas receive natural light, including the main lobby where white cantilever staircases appear suspended between glass partitions.

Accommodation

Lammouche accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins alongside accommodation for a substantial professional crew.

The owner’s suite occupies the forward section of the main deck and includes a private office positioned between the entrance lobby and the cabin itself. The suite spans the full beam and incorporates a large bathroom with tub extending across the yacht’s width. Integrated storage, walk-in wardrobe space and restrained detailing keep the room feeling open rather than crowded.

Four guest cabins occupy the lower deck. Sanlorenzo followed a conventional arrangement with two queen cabins and two twin cabins, each finished in the same contrast of pale fabrics and darker timber seen throughout the yacht.

Crew accommodation was planned with unusual attention to workflow. A dedicated lower-deck corridor allows direct access between the engine room, technical spaces, cold storage and laundry while remaining completely separated from guest areas. Full standing headroom within this tunnel makes movement through the service areas far easier during long passages or charter operations.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512B) 2,040hp engines, motor yacht Lammouche is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 60,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, a beach club allows for easy access to the water and allows those on board to easily unwind. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
