Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.14m beam and a 2.33m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 409 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2000. Launched in August 2002 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2003.
Exterior Design
Unforgettable, the 42m (137ft) motoryacht built by Royal Denship, carries a bold, sculpted look. Deck overhangs and the deep shadows they create soften what could otherwise have been a rather massive profile. Large, paired square ports cleverly break up the broad expanses of glass, giving the yacht a more balanced, purposeful appearance. Though traditionalists might miss varnished cap rails - those polished horizontal accents that guide the eye - the design’s strength lies in its clean, no-nonsense lines, matching the vessel’s serious engineering.
The main deck features flawlessly laid teak decks and expanses of high-gloss white paint, setting an elegant tone from the moment of boarding. The aft main deck extends the living space outdoors, where a swooping settee adds a graceful touch and invites relaxed lounging. The bridge deck is home to a spacious aft sky lounge area, with a dining table for open-air entertaining, while up on the top deck a spa pool and bar complete the yacht’s outdoor appeal. A Portuguese bridge forward adds practicality, giving easy access to the bow.
Technically, Unforgettable is fitted with Maxwell mooring line winches designed specifically for managing dock lines rather than adapted sailboat systems. Stowage spaces and ventilation ducts are cleverly tucked into large pods on the port side, with access stairs to the aft bridge deck located to starboard.
Interior Design
Step aboard and you’re greeted by a contrast of high-gloss white paintwork and flawlessly laid teak decking, setting a clean and sophisticated tone.
Inside, the galley is located to port, just forward of the dining area and separated by a pantry - a detail that keeps kitchen noise and odours at bay. The galley is professionally appointed with granite countertops, marble-finish linoleum flooring, and commercial-grade appliances. It connects easily to both the dining space and the crew mess on the lower deck.
The dining area itself adopts a clever layout, placed on a fore-and-aft axis and occupying only half the beam. This creates generous room for 12 guests without overwhelming the space. A credenza subtly divides this space from the main saloon, which, while compact, flows out onto the large aft deck through sliding glass doors - creating a hybrid indoor-outdoor living area ideal for relaxing and entertaining.
Above, the sky lounge spans a larger footprint than the main saloon and is finished with blue suede upholstery that softens the space and gives it an inviting, intimate atmosphere. A wet bar and a top-of-the-line entertainment centre round out the features here. Adjacent is a day head to starboard and the captain’s quarters to port.
The bridge is anchored by five multi-purpose video screens - the yacht’s control hub. These can be operated via a large four-inch trackball that lets the user move a cursor seamlessly across the full suite of displays. The helm forgoes a steering wheel entirely, replaced with fly-by-wire throttles mounted on rotating pedestals. Navigation and control systems also include magnetic compass backup, advanced radar and system monitoring, all coordinated through this central digital interface.
Accommodation
Unforgettable sleeps up to 10 guests across five cabins, supported by quarters for a crew of eight.
The full-beam owner’s suite is located forward on the main deck, accessed via a private office that also functions well as a sitting room or library. This transition zone adds a sense of privacy and separation from shared living spaces. The stateroom includes a centreline king-size bed, a vanity, coffee table, armchairs, and a settee.
Storage is handled with visual flair - semi-partitioned wardrobes are built behind low walls, creating dressing areas without fully dividing the room. By keeping these partitions two feet below the ceiling, the space retains its openness while delivering practical storage. The en suite bathroom features a large spa tub, a stall shower, double sinks, and a separate toilet compartment, all finished in marble with honey-coloured stone accents.
On the lower deck, four guest staterooms are arranged around a central vestibule reached by curved stairs. Aft are two queen cabins, each with a settee and coffee table. Forward are two slightly smaller twin cabins. All guest rooms include en suite bathrooms, finished to the same high standard.
A small study to port can be used as a flexible dressing area, and there’s a dedicated linen locker forward. The discreet crew access point connects through to the crew quarters at the bow. Here, four crew cabins are each fitted with en suite heads, and the entire space is finished in off-white with cherry wood trim.
The forward-most space is a large laundry room, equipped with two washers and dryers, plus extra refrigeration and freezer capacity.
