The composite Maiora M|38 develops the architecture and exterior language already established for the M|30, while the steel and aluminum Maiora M|53 takes the collection into the sub-500 GT displacement sector.
Maiora also brought the first M|30 to Cannes for its world debut and displayed the 37m Maiora 36 Exuma in the Vieux Port.
53m M|53 Becomes Maiora's New M Collection Flagship
The larger development at Cannes was the M|53, a 52.98m steel and aluminum superyacht designed by LUCA DINI Design & Architecture, with naval architecture by NAMES Studio. With a gross tonnage of 499 GT, it takes the M Collection well beyond Maiora's established composite models and into a larger displacement format.
The M|53 has a beam of approximately 9.15m and a 2.4m full-load draft, with accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins and quarters for nine crew. Rather than centering the interior around one dominant social room, its layout creates dedicated spaces for different uses throughout the day, including working, exercise, relaxation and entertaining.
A second pool forms the centerpiece of the beach area aft, accompanied by a lounge, bar and spaces positioned close to the water. At the yacht's highest point, an observatory deck provides a private setting for uninterrupted sea views, with movable covers intended to extend its usability throughout the year.
More than 100 square meters of interior and exterior space is allocated to the owner's apartment on the main deck. The arrangement includes the master cabin, private study, dressing room, dedicated bathrooms and a wellness area, while a private forward terrace has its own swimming pool.
Twin 1,450hp MAN D2862 LE489 engines give the M|53 a reported top speed of 16.5 knots. At 10 knots, its stated range exceeds 4,500 nautical miles, putting considerably more emphasis on long-distance cruising than the faster composite yachts lower down the M Collection.
New Maiora M|38 Brings 275 GT and Five Cabins to the M Collection
Although the M|38 was first announced by Maiora in March 2025, Cannes 2026 provided a more detailed look at the 37.1m model and its place within the growing M Collection. Measuring 8.2m across the beam with an approximate volume of 275 GT, it sits above the M|30 within Maiora's composite range. Quartostile is responsible for the exterior design, with interiors from the Maiora Style Office and ACUBE.
Much of the attention is directed aft, where the beach area and cockpit occupy one level. Folding bulwarks increase the usable deck surface, while a swimming pool has a retractable walk-on cover. When closed, the cover returns the pool footprint to the deck and gives owners greater flexibility over how the stern is used.
Inside the superyacht, the main saloon covers approximately 51 square meters, with ceiling heights ranging from 2.25m to 2.35m. Large side windows and electrically operated smoked-glass doors open the room toward the cockpit. Engine-room access has been placed within the side corridor, leaving the main aft guest area unobstructed.
Forward on the main deck, the 45-square-metre full-beam owner's suite includes an office, dressing area, vanity and his-and-hers bathroom with a central shower. Four lower-deck guest cabins, including two VIPs, accommodate 12 guests in total. The walkaround upper deck leads to a raised pilot house with 180-degree forward visibility.
Two propulsion packages are listed. Owners can specify twin 2,200hp MAN V12-2200 engines or twin 2,600hp MTU 16V2000 M96L engines, with Maiora's latest Cannes technical data quoting respective maximum speeds of 23 and 28 knots.
First Maiora M|30 Debuts at Cannes After Four Pre-Premiere Sales
The Cannes announcements also provided more context for the Maiora M|30, which made its world premiere at the show after launching in August. The 30m yacht is the first delivered model from the M Collection and had secured four sales before its public debut.
Designed by Quartostile, with interiors by the Maiora Style Office and ACUBE, the M|30 combines the collection’s near-coupé profile, full-beam bow, extensive glazing and walkaround layout in a 200 GT motor yacht. It accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins, with the owner’s suite forward on the main deck, and reaches a stated top speed of 21 knots with twin 2,000hp MAN V12 engines.
Maiora also displayed the 36.9m Maiora 36 Exuma, the second unit in its series. Delivered earlier in summer 2026, it features a 1.45m draft and triple-waterjet propulsion, with three 2,000hp MAN V12 engines driving two steerable MJP waterjets and a central booster to reach 33 knots.
Maiora Supernova 50 Marks Brand's First Steel and Aluminum Superyacht
Maiora's Cannes activity extended beyond the M Collection with the announcement of the 50m Supernova 50, its first steel and aluminum superyacht and a project already under construction at the shipyard's Pisa facility.
Tommaso Spadolini and ELIE SAAB are responsible for the exterior lines and general arrangement, while the interiors carry the ELIE SAAB design identity under the creative direction of Elie Saab and Carlo Colombo. The 499 GT yacht will accommodate 12 guests in six cabins, including an owner's suite on a dedicated Owner's Deck, and is scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2028.
The M|53 and Supernova 50 arrive shortly after Next Yacht Group strengthened its metal-construction capabilities through the acquisition of SIMAN in July 2026. For Maiora, the Cannes program therefore stretches from the first M|30 now in the water to two sub-500 GT steel and aluminum projects aimed at a markedly different area of the superyacht market.
