Designed inside and out by Red Yacht Design, with naval architecture and engineering by Milimetriq and project management by More Marine, the 488GT yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2026.
A Flagship Project for RED Yacht Design
Queen Yaz is one of Red Yacht Design’s most significant recent projects and forms part of a particularly active year for the studio. The launch marks its fourth yacht to enter the water in 2026, with the studio working across several shipyards as more of its fleet comes toward completion.
Built with a displacement steel hull and aluminum superstructure, Queen Yaz carries a navy-blue hull, teak decks, an 8.96m beam and a 2.45m draft. Her profile is tall and clean, with a strong focus on deck space, guest movement and open-air living.
A Calm Interior Brief
Inside, Queen Yaz has been designed around a warm, modern atmosphere, using light tones and natural materials throughout. The interior brief focuses on comfort and calm rather than excess, creating bright guest areas intended for relaxed cruising and extended time onboard.
Accommodation is arranged for up to 10 guests across five cabins, including an owner’s cabin. While full interior photography has not yet been released, the motor yacht’s design direction centers on soft finishes, a contemporary palette and a quieter residential feel.
Bow Lounge, Sun Deck and Beach Club
Exterior living is a major part of Queen Yaz’s layout. The main deck includes a generous bow lounge for social use or quieter moments underway, while the aft lounge provides another sheltered area close to the cockpit. The sun deck carries several of the yacht’s main leisure features, including a Jacuzzi, sunbeds, lounge sofas, a bar and an alfresco dining area.
At the stern, Queen Yaz moves away from a traditional enclosed beach club in favor of an open terraced arrangement. Fold-down side platforms expand the area at water level, with a built-in sofa bench and direct access from the swim platform.
Power comes from twin Caterpillar C32 diesel engines, each producing 1,622hp, for a total output of 3,244hp. Propulsion is delivered through twin screw propellers. The yacht’s displacement hull, steel construction, and 488GT gross tonnage place her firmly within the long-range custom superyacht category.
Queen Yaz Joins a Strong Run of New Launches
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the world's largest yacht database, Queen Yaz joins a busy period for new superyacht launches. In early June, Feadship launched the 89m Milky Way, previously Project 828, in Amsterdam. Designed by Studio De Voogt with interiors by RWD, the 2,623GT yacht features a 16.7m main-deck swimming pool.
CRN also launched the 70m Project Thunderball in Ancona, a five-deck custom yacht developed with Vripack and Nauta Design and expected to be delivered as Cerulean later this year. Benetti’s 50m B.Now Oasis yacht Inari has also entered the water ahead of delivery in July 2026, while Overmarine recently launched the 44m Mangusta Oceano 44 yacht Lulus, a charter-focused yacht shaped around strong owner input.
