Launched in April 2025, the 80-metre, 2,175GT superyacht is on schedule for delivery later this summer.
Built on speculation and sold just six months into construction, motor yacht Pangea was officially confirmed during the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show, with Burgess bringing the client and acting as the owner’s representative throughout the project.
Her modern strong lines will look as good in 10 years as the day she is delivered.
A New Flagship for the Amels Limited Editions Line
The Amels 80 is the largest model in the acclaimed Limited Editions range and was first revealed in 2023 via a live-streamed global premiere from Amsterdam. It brings together two design powerhouses: Espen Øino, who handled the exterior, and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, who led the interiors - their first collaboration on an Amels yacht.
Standout features include a 6.5-metre swimming pool on the aft deck with transparent floor panels that allow natural light to filter into the beach club below. The beach club boasts three opening sea terraces, creating a floating wellness lounge with access to a spa, sauna, gym, Hammam, and massage room. A central circular social zone with a sit-up bar ensures that this area is as stylish as it is social.
With much of the design development of the yacht personally overseen by the owners, we believe this will be one of the standout yachts entering into operation in 2025.

The interiors reflect Sinot’s nature-focused philosophy, where materials are left as pure as possible to enhance their natural textures and hues. Paul Costerus, lead designer at Sinot, explained: “The style is distinctive and allows the owner to customise and add their personal style.”
Accommodations are designed for up to 14 guests in seven cabins, including a full private owner’s deck configured like a penthouse apartment. It features a private suite, two bathrooms, a study, owner’s lounge, breakfast area, and private library - all flooded with light through floor-to-ceiling windows and finished in marble, woven metal meshes, and other bespoke materials.

Performance, Innovation, and Flexibility
As the first hybrid Amels 80, the yacht features advanced diesel-electric propulsion that enables efficient long-range cruising with reduced emissions. She boasts a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. The design accommodates future innovation, with provisions for an electric tender and fast-charging station in the garage.
Owners can extensively customise layouts and exterior finishes, and the bridge deck aft has been designed for flexible use - ideal for entertaining, relaxing, or dining in privacy.
Crowning the yacht is a 200-square-metre sundeck, among the most spacious in her class. Features include a circular Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, a shaded bar, and a round dining table perfect for al fresco meals.
Strong Market Response and What’s Next
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch Intelligence, there are currently four additional Amels 80 yachts in the forward order book, reflecting strong demand for the series. Two more units - Amels 8002 and Amels 8003 - are scheduled for delivery in 2026, while the next available hull, Amels 8005, is listed for sale at around €190,000,000, with delivery set for 2027.
