On Deck
The Astondoa Century 100 is a tri-deck raised pilothouse yacht, built to mark the shipyard’s 100th anniversary. While Spain may not dominate the global yacht-building conversation, Astondoa’s heritage runs deep, dating back to 1916 and carried through generations of skilled craftsmen. That lineage shows in the exterior layout, which is both elegant and cleverly arranged.
The flybridge doubles as a full upper deck, beginning aft with a spa tub framed by expansive sunpads and wraparound seating. Twin dinettes and L-shaped wet bar consoles create an inviting space under a solid fiberglass hardtop, complete with a sliding sunroof for added light and airflow. Teak decks stretch forward without a single step, running all the way to the foredeck lounge, where a table and additional seating create another gathering point.
Back aft on the main deck, there’s an electric sunshade that can be deployed at the touch of a button. It’s one of those simple, satisfying features that just works. Stairs descend cleanly to the water, maintaining the yacht’s unbroken exterior flow.
The lines are recognizably Astondoa - metallic finishes, crisp geometry, and subtle styling cues like the reversed windscreen and negative space glazing that add edge without overstatement.
Interior Accommodation
Interior design on this build comes from Cristiano Gatto, and the feel is crisp and contemporary, with washed oak and plenty of natural light from the yacht’s oversized windows. The main deck flows as a single level from aft cockpit through to the master cabin, creating a spacious, cohesive environment that’s easy to navigate and genuinely livable.
The saloon features a large lounge area and a dining table that comfortably seats ten. Just off this space, the galley sits to port. It’s a serious working kitchen - triple fridges, six-burner cooktop, deep prep counters. There’s a casual breakfast ledge with twin stools with a wonderful aspect.
This yacht was built to a specific owner’s spec, but being fully custom, other arrangements are easily possible. The current configuration works well - refined, practical, and rich in subtle detail, from Lucite-fronted storage drawers to stitched leather surfaces and polished stainless fixtures.
Owner's Cabin
The main deck master is full-beam and positioned forward for maximum privacy and view. It features its own private foyer, generous hanging space, and a dedicated head with stall shower. There’s a real sense of scale in here - not just in square footage, but in the way the space has been laid out to feel quiet and secluded. The windows are massive, and the natural light transforms the atmosphere from formal to restful.
Guest Accommodation
Below deck are four guest cabins, all ensuite and arranged with a smart touch of symmetry. A pair of mirrored VIP suites sit aft, both with stall showers and plenty of wardrobe space. Forward of these are two twin cabins that can convert to doubles, depending on the group onboard. All the guest cabins are near-identical in size and quality, which helps avoid the usual disputes over who gets what room. Bathrooms are finished with stylish fixtures and rainfall showers, with each cabin designed to deliver the same high level of comfort.
Crew Accommodation
The crew space is located forward and accessed via the galley. It includes two cabins for four crew, each with ensuite heads. The arrangement makes the most of the available space without encroaching on guest areas. There’s also a dedicated laundry area with washer and dryer units, though access is a bit tight in places.
Performance
This yacht came equipped with twin MTU 2,850hp engines, though standard builds can be fitted with 2,186hp MTUs, capable of pushing the Century 100 to a top speed of around 26 knots. The engine room itself is lined in stainless steel with full walkarounds - clean, orderly, and built with ease of maintenance in mind. There’s also a garage at the transom that can hold a 15-foot Williams SportJet tender and a personal watercraft.
In Summary
The Astondoa Century 100 is a milestone model - a confident expression of the shipyard’s heritage and craftsmanship. Everything from the tri-deck layout to the flybridge bars and full-beam main deck master shows a design focused on both function and flair. The detailing throughout, from marble inlays to custom stainless work, reveals a builder still rooted in hands-on craft. Built entirely to order, the Century 100 reflects its owner’s personality while leaving plenty of room for individual expression. A modern Spanish classic with more than a hint of old-world pedigree.
