Design & Construction
Designed around a planing carbon fibre hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 5.55m beam and a 1.75m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 100 GT (Gross Tonnes).
She was completed at Azimut's Fano yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
Apricity is an Azimut S8, a 24.6m (80.8ft) sport yacht designed by Alberto Mancini. Her profile combines sharp, aerodynamic styling with a lightweight carbon fibre superstructure, creating a low, elongated silhouette that looks fast even at rest.
The exterior lines flow cleanly from the angular bow to the sculpted stern, while extensive glazing stretches almost uninterrupted along the superstructure. These large windows flood the interior with natural light and strengthen the connection between the yacht and the surrounding water. Distinctive cutaways along the bulwarks break up the hull sides and contribute to the yacht's athletic stance.
At the stern, Apricity centres much of her outdoor living around an expansive beach club arrangement. The hydraulic swim platform, large transom sunbed and substantial garage create a versatile waterside space that can transform from toy storage into a private lounge at anchor. The garage accommodates a 4m (13.1ft) tender alongside a jet ski, Seabobs and additional equipment.
The aft cockpit is divided into separate social zones, with a large sunpad, dining area and summer galley featuring a barbecue, sink, refrigerator and ice maker. Carbon fibre detailing appears throughout, including the supporting structures and optional awnings.
Forward, the bow functions as a private lounge area with adjustable sunpads, a central seating arrangement and a carbon fibre table. Retractable lighting, extensive storage and optional shade create a comfortable space for relaxing while underway or at anchor.
The flybridge offers another entertainment deck with dining space, sun lounging areas, a grill, refrigeration and a fully equipped helm station. A retractable Bimini provides shade when required while preserving the yacht's clean profile when retracted.
Interior Design
The interior focuses on openness, natural light and a close connection to the sea. Floor-to-ceiling glazing surrounds the main deck saloon, while sliding aft doors and a large opening roof blur the line between indoor and outdoor living.
The saloon is arranged in three distinct zones. A lounge area aft features opposing sofas and a concealed television, while a dining area occupies the centre of the space. Forward, the main helm station incorporates three 16-inch Garmin displays, Naviop yacht management controls, Volvo IPS joystick controls and a full suite of navigation systems.
A few steps below the main deck sits the galley, positioned to support both guest use and crew operations. Features include a full-height refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, double sink, wine cooler and extensive storage. Durable work surfaces and opening portholes enhance practicality during longer stays aboard.
Throughout the interior, rounded furniture edges, integrated lighting and large windows create a bright and contemporary atmosphere. Automatic blinds and roof shades allow the environment to be adjusted depending on conditions and privacy requirements.
Accommodation
Apricity accommodates up to 10 guests across four cabins and carries up to three crew members in dedicated crew quarters.
The full-beam owner's suite is positioned amidships and benefits from large hull windows, a walk-in wardrobe, generous storage and a private en suite bathroom with a spacious shower. A concealed television and Bose audio system are integrated into the design.
Forward, the VIP cabin features a centrally positioned double berth, en suite bathroom and substantial storage beneath the bed. Two twin guest cabins are located between the owner and VIP accommodation. Both cabins include additional Pullman berths, allowing the yacht to accommodate up to ten guests in total. Each guest cabin benefits from its own en suite facilities or direct bathroom access.
Crew accommodation is accessed separately from the aft deck and consists of two cabins sleeping up to three crew members.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 3 x diesel Volvo Penta (IPS1350) 1,000hp engines, motor yacht Apricity is capable of reaching a top speed of 34 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
