Defiant is a 41.1m open yacht delivered by American shipyard Palmer Johnson in 2012. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Nuvolari Lenard, while Palmer Johnson is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.4m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 305 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fifth yacht built on the PJ 135 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in June 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2012.

Accommodation

Defiant offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V4000 M90) 3,650hp engines, motor yacht Defiant is capable of reaching a top speed of 28 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. With her 37,900 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,700 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Defiant also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
