Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement steel hull and superstructure she features a 7.15m beam and a 2.1m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 165 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in May 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
ICE may measure just under 24 meters (78ft), but her presence is anything but modest. With a beam of over 7 meters (23ft 5in), she has the stature and stance of a much larger yacht. Her hull is built from high-tensile steel, and the aluminium superstructure is finished in crisp ice-white, set off by deep glazing and lightly raked wheelhouse windows that help protect against glare, rain, and sea spray. The aesthetic is purposeful and stripped back, with clean lines and a confident, no-nonsense profile designed for serious adventure.
Built in accordance with Ice Class principles - even though formal classification isn’t required under 24 meters - she’s engineered with impressive technical robustness. From the hull shape and materials to details like sea chest design, sea water lines, heat-resistant glass, and a heating-capable air-conditioning system, the yacht is equipped for high-latitude cruising. Detailed CFD analysis informed the hull design, which features a marked chine and skeg for improved efficiency and stability.
The deck spaces have been carefully planned for both practicality and pleasure. The aft section of the main deck features a generous al fresco dining area that seats up to eight in comfort, with views stretching over the swim platform and beyond. Below, the wide bathing platform can also support a tender or jet ski on short passages, or act as a base for swimming, diving, and watersports. On the bridge deck, there’s a second aft area configured for tender storage - handling up to 600kg - while still allowing space for relaxed seating.
A sun deck sits neatly atop the bridge, protected by a slim hardtop and surrounded by soft seating and a sunbed, offering panoramic views in fair weather. Practical side decks, high freeboard, and a noticeably raised bow all serve to boost seaworthiness, particularly in tougher conditions. The yacht’s appearance, reinforced by her scale and rugged features, leaves no doubt about her capabilities offshore.
Interior Design
Inside, ICE carries a different energy. While the outside is robust, the interior is calm, elegant, and finely detailed. Designed by BAZ Design, the décor balances natural materials and neutral tones - light oak, contrasting Alpi veneers, wool carpets, soft fabrics, and light stone surfaces give the spaces warmth without excess. Cabinetry features glass-fronted mesh doors with LED backlighting, adding visual depth without visual clutter.
The main saloon sits aft on the main deck, where that wide beam becomes most apparent. Even with full side decks outside, the space feels broad and generous. There’s a dedicated lounge area with a pop-up television, plus a formal dining table that can comfortably seat up to ten. It’s the kind of space that works as well for long family trips as it does for evenings at anchor with guests.
Forward of the saloon lies a large galley, unusually well equipped for a yacht of this length. Storage is extensive, refrigeration is ample, and the layout includes practical worktops and a central island. The space supports long stays at sea, where provisioning for extended periods becomes a real consideration. A thoughtful element of the layout is that crew can access the galley directly from the side deck, minimizing disruption to guest areas.
Up one level, the wheelhouse continues the theme of understated professionalism. It’s laid out with clarity and focus, reflecting the yacht’s long-range capability. Forward-facing windscreens lend a commercial feel, while a small lounge aft includes a pop-up television that turns the space into a relaxed movie room when under way or at anchor. Overall, the bridge deck feels practical without being spartan.
Accommodation
ICE accommodates up to 10 guests in five cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and includes generous wardrobe space, a comfortable lounge area, and a large TV hidden behind a mirror. The ensuite bathroom is clean and well laid out, with a spacious walk-in shower and elegant fittings.
On the lower deck, guest accommodation consists of four well-proportioned cabins. Three of these are doubles - each with an ensuite and large storage capacity. The fourth is a twin cabin, ideal for children or short-stay visitors, and also fitted with its own bathroom. One of the forward guest suites has been cleverly arranged with separate shower and toilet compartments, a layout that increases comfort without encroaching on floor space.
Opening portholes across the guest deck offer natural light and ventilation, adding to the sense of comfort and connection to the sea. Throughout, the emphasis is on space and functionality - the cabins feel large, with thoughtful storage and layout features designed for extended living aboard.
Crew quarters are accessed directly from the stern and are designed for up to three crew across two cabins, each with its own bathroom. This self-contained setup, paired with separate access routes, supports a smooth onboard dynamic and ensures privacy for guests even during longer passages.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Cummins (QSL9S-W) 410hp engines, motor yacht ICE is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 24,150 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
