Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.7m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 491 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in October 2016 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Muchos Mas carries a bold and purposeful profile shaped around a semi-displacement hull by Jack Sarin, modified for improved efficiency and a more refined entry at the bow. With a beam of 8.7m (28ft 7in) and a shallow draft of 2.1m (7ft), she’s well suited to island cruising, particularly in regions like the Bahamas or the Caribbean. The exterior lines come from Jonathan Quinn Barnett, who also designed the interior. A blend of grey Esthec decking and neutral-toned upholstery creates a fresh, cohesive look across her outdoor areas.

The aft deck takes an elevated, slightly unconventional approach. Softer wood underfoot enhances comfort, and the setup is perfect for relaxed breakfasts or evening drinks, with a built-in bar nearby. This space flows down to a beach club at the stern, providing direct access to the water.

Moving up to the bridge deck aft, there’s another generous dining and lounging area. The layout here is open and sociable, with a sheltered observation point at the stern where the structure lowers to improve ocean views. On the foredeck, there’s yet more lounging and a raised plunge pool. The base of this tub features a glass window that filters light into the owner’s suite below, creating a distinctive play of reflections.

Up on the sun deck, a standout feature is the oversized jacuzzi with a swim-up bar and moulded sunpads. Framed by clear glass panels, the area feels open but protected - ideal for earlier or cooler cruising seasons. A waterfall feature adds to the atmosphere, both visually and acoustically. Further aft, the yacht carries a full spread of toys including a 6.2m (20ft) Nova Reina Catamaran Beach Lander Rib, two Sea-Doos, two inflatable tandem kayaks, a wakeboard, snorkelling and fishing gear, a three-person tube and chariot, plus full beach club setup.

Muchos Mas features a semi-displacement hull by Jack Sarin, reshaped for efficiency and a top speed of 23 knots.

Interior Design

Step inside and the shift in tone is immediate. The interior leans into a style that balances comfort with considered design - less formal than some yachts of this size, but no less elegant. Wide-planked flooring, custom furniture, and tactile materials such as tweed and wool-silk rugs give the main saloon and dining area a welcoming, residential feel. Lighting is thoughtfully placed, and the use of different shapes and materials adds subtle depth throughout the layout.

Interior and exterior design were both handled by Jonathan Quinn Barnett. His approach brings in gentle curves and sculptural cabinetry, with geometry that echoes the shape of the hull. The aft saloon includes a bar in the port corner, positioned to offer wide views without dominating the space. A sliding window makes it easier to serve guests outside while keeping the area enclosed.

The galley is designed with serious functionality in mind, using stainless steel equipment supplied by a professional kitchen outfitter. The layout keeps the working space clear of traffic, helped by a pair of service doors. One opens into the crew area, the other leads directly into the dining area. There's even a dedicated herb garden under grow lights - a small but thoughtful detail that speaks to the yacht’s attention to quality.

On the upper deck, the sky lounge is finished in a warmer tone, with quarter-sawn oak joinery and softer accents in walnut and lighter woods. Decorative cabinetry and mouldings bring texture without creating too much formality. It’s a relaxed social area with a large screen, ideal for games, films, or unwinding with friends and family. The deck’s generous beam allows this upper saloon to feel exceptionally spacious.

Accommodation

Muchos Mas can accommodate up to 10 guests in five cabins, with a layout that prioritises comfort, privacy, and flexibility. The owner’s suite is positioned on the main deck and spans the full beam. A mix of soft tones and rich materials gives it a calm, airy feel. Built-in seating and cabinetry are matched with carefully chosen lighting and finishes. The ensuite includes one of the most distinctive features on board: a custom-built spa-style shower designed to accommodate a massage bed. Multiple shower heads create alternating hot and cold streams, providing a hydrotherapy-style experience that’s highly unusual for any yacht.

Below deck, the VIP suite stretches from side to side and includes a private sitting area with its own ensuite. A dividing panel allows this space to convert into an additional guest cabin when needed, adding flexibility to the layout. Elsewhere on the lower deck, there’s a double and two twins, each with large ensuites. The finishes vary slightly between cabins, but all include generous showers, high-end fittings, and in-cabin storage. There's also a mini bar in the guest corridor, ideal for quiet access to drinks and snacks without relying on crew.

Guest circulation is carefully planned, with a central staircase that features elegant handrails, integrated artwork, and detailed marble flooring. Material selection throughout reflects a strong design ethos, mixing different woods and stone finishes in ways not often seen from North American builders.

The crew quarters are accessed through a sliding panel beside the lobby and accommodate up to 10 crew. These are laid out efficiently with separate access routes to allow discreet service and movement throughout the yacht.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12v4000) 16-cylinder 1,800hp engines, motor yacht Muchos Mas is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 42,968 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,300 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Muchos Mas boasts a sundeck pool with a swim-up bar, expansive lounging spaces, and luxurious accommodations for 10 guests.

Amenities

In addition, adjoining the water, a beach club lets those on board enjoy the feeling of being close to the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Muchos Mas also features an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
