Delivered in 1978, Stoneface is a 32.3m classic yacht built by American shipyard Burger Boat. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Jack Hargrave, while Paola D. Smith & Associates is responsible for her interior design.

Key Features

  • Classic Burger long-range cruising yacht
  • 12.5-knot cruise, 14.5-knot top speed
  • Professional full-beam chef’s galley
  • Enclosed aft deck dining lounge

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 6.92m beam and a 1.83m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 137 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Stoneface carries the unmistakable profile of a traditional Burger motor yacht, defined by a long raised foredeck, high bulwarks and a tiered superstructure. The bow shows a moderate rake with a rounded forefoot, while the hull sides carry a row of evenly spaced portholes marking the lower-deck cabins.

A continuous dark sheer stripe runs along the hull beneath the main deck windows, visually stretching the yacht’s profile while tying together the superstructure glazing. Above this, large rectangular windows illuminate the main salon and aft deck enclosure.

Wide walkaround side decks allow safe movement between the aft deck and the foredeck. The forward deck remains largely open around the anchor gear, reinforcing the yacht’s practical cruising layout.

Aft, the yacht features a teak swim platform and cockpit area, positioned just below the enclosed aft deck. The cockpit connects directly with the water while also providing access to the lazarette and tender handling equipment.

The superstructure rises through a raised pilothouse topped by a tall communications mast, while the upper deck above carries additional seating and storage space for the tender and deck equipment beneath removable sunshades.

Interior Design

The main salon features warm butternut walnut joinery, neutral upholstery and six large windows that bring natural light deep into the space. Seating is arranged around an L-shaped sofa with armchairs to starboard, while a card table provides an additional social area.

Forward of the lounge sits a formal dining space for six, surrounded by built-in cabinetry for china and glassware. The dining area connects directly with the galley through a service door, maintaining efficient circulation for crew during service.

The main galley spans the full beam and is designed for professional use with stainless steel counters, extensive storage and a full suite of appliances including Wolf cooking equipment, multiple refrigerator/freezer units and a Miele dishwasher.

A curved staircase in the salon leads down to the guest accommodation.

Accommodation

Stoneface accommodates up to eight guests in three cabins on the lower deck.

The full-beam master suite aft features a king-size bed, built-in storage and four portholes that provide natural light. The ensuite bathroom includes a tiled shower with glass enclosure, sink with storage and mirrored cabinetry.

Forward of the owner's suite are two identical twin guest cabins, each fitted with twin beds and a Pullman berth to increase capacity. Both cabins include ensuite bathrooms with tiled showers, storage and hanging lockers.

Crew accommodation is located forward and can house up to four crew members, with additional space available if a couple is aboard. The crew area includes a mess, laundry facilities and direct access to the engine room, ensuring efficient operation during extended voyages.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel GM (12V71N) engines, motor yacht Stoneface is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
