Built by Italian shipyard Azimut, the new flagship features exterior design by Alberto Mancini, interiors by M²Atelier and naval architecture by the Azimut|Benetti Group R&D department with L. Ausonio Naval Architecture. The Azimut Grande 44M introduces a four-deck layout and Mild Hybrid technology, with seven units already sold ahead of its Cannes debut.
A four-deck flagship shaped around owner privacy
The Grande 44M has been conceived as Azimut's latest interpretation of the contemporary superyacht, pairing advanced engineering with a layout centred on the owner experience. More than half of the yacht is constructed in carbon fibre, reducing weight high in the superstructure and making it possible to introduce a four-deck configuration without compromising stability or performance. Rather than following a conventional arrangement, the wheelhouse has been relocated to the fourth deck, allowing the entire upper deck to become a private owner's level complete with dedicated terraces overlooking the sea.
Sea-facing living spaces redefine life on deck
Outdoor living revolves around a series of social spaces designed to strengthen the connection with the surrounding water. At the stern, Azimut has evolved the Sea View Terrace concept first introduced on the Grande Trideck, pairing it with a transparent See-Through Pool that maintains uninterrupted views through to the sea while creating changing light effects within the beach club below. Forward, an expansive bow lounge with a firepit provides a dedicated entertaining space, while large outdoor areas have been arranged to maximise privacy and uninterrupted views.

Flexible interiors designed around intentional living
The yacht's interior design centres on adaptable living spaces that can evolve around different owner lifestyles. Large windows introduce panoramic 180-degree views while flooding the interior with natural light, reinforcing the connection between inside and out. The bow section of the owner's deck has been designed as a flexible space capable of serving as a formal dining area for 12 guests, a private media room or an additional guest lounge, reflecting the builder's emphasis on functionality alongside contemporary residential styling.
Hybrid engineering shapes Azimut's most advanced flagship
The Grande 44M is powered by twin MAN V12 engines and brings together several engineering developments intended to improve efficiency, comfort and onboard autonomy. A Dual Mode hull works alongside carbon fibre Hull Vane® foil technology to reduce hydrodynamic drag and improve comfort by limiting pitch and roll, while the Mild Hybrid system enables silent, zero-emission hotel operations at anchor for several hours before recharging while underway. Integrated solar panels also contribute to onboard energy demands, with Azimut stating that the combined technologies reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 30% compared with traditional motor yachts of a similar size.
Azimut continues to expand its Grande portfolio
The launch marks another milestone in the continued expansion of Azimut's superyacht portfolio, with models over 24 metres now accounting for more than two-thirds of the brand's production value. According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, there are currently 71 Azimut yachts in the order book. Recent projects include the Grande 30M, which continues the builder's focus on contemporary cruising, and the Grande Trideck, whose Sea View Terrace concept laid the foundations for several of the outdoor living features developed further aboard the new flagship.
