Developed by the Milan-based yard as part of a broader product strategy introduced with the Turismo 7.0 in 2022, the new 8.5m RIB has been designed to target owners looking for a balance between compact dimensions, offshore capability, and practical onboard comfort. Federico Fiorentino is responsible for both the exterior styling and hull design.
Completing the Turismo Family
With the Turismo 8.5, Lomac completes the Turismo series, which has been developed around a segmented approach rather than simply increasing size and power across the range. According to the yard, each Turismo tender has been tailored toward a different type of owner while maintaining a shared design identity and construction standard.
Every new model is a step in a broader journey, in which design, engineering and product philosophy must remain aligned. It is this balance that we strive to maintain, regardless of the boat’s size."

Lomac
The new model enters one of the market’s most active size categories, where buyers continue to prioritize versatility and manageable dimensions for dayboating, coastal cruising, and watersports use. Lomac describes the 8.5-meter platform as a particularly important segment due to its balance between performance, storage flexibility, and ease of handling.
Military-Inspired Styling
Visually, the Turismo 8.5 continues the angular and purposeful styling language introduced on the latest Turismo models. The profile adopts a military-inspired appearance with clean surfaces, dark detailing, and a relatively minimalist approach across the deck spaces.
Rather than focusing purely on appearance, the layout has been developed around practicality and circulation onboard. At the stern, twin integrated swim platforms frame a central passage leading into the cockpit, where a large U-shaped dinette can seat up to eight guests. The dining area can also convert into an additional sunpad by lowering the table.
The helm station uses split seating for the skipper and co-pilot, with an integrated refrigerator positioned beneath. Forward, another large sunbathing area has been incorporated into the bow section, with storage compartments positioned underneath. One of the more adaptable features is the enclosed compartment built into the central console. Accessible from the bow, the space can be configured with either a marine or chemical toilet, while also functioning as a changing area, storage compartment, or weather shelter depending on owner preference.
Two T-Top Configurations Available
Owners will be able to choose between two different T-top arrangements. The standard version uses a stainless steel structure with a fabric canopy, while an upgraded rigid hardtop option incorporates fiberglass construction with aramid and carbon fiber reinforcement.
The choice reflects the broader positioning of the Turismo range, where customization and practical specification choices play a central role without moving the boats into substantially larger size categories.
Hull Development Focused on Rough-Water Capability
Several engine configurations will be available, ranging from single outboard installations between 250hp and 425hp through to twin-engine arrangements producing up to 400hp in total. Lomac projects top speeds in excess of 50 knots depending on specification.
Lomac states that the Turismo 8.5 has been developed with a strong emphasis on offshore usability and ride comfort. Fiorentino’s hull design underwent CFD analysis and validation testing during development, with the aim of improving efficiency, directional stability, and comfort across varying sea states.
Public Debut Set for Genoa Boat Show 2026
Before its official public unveiling at the 2026 Genoa Boat Show, the Turismo 8.5 will embark on a Mediterranean presentation tour beginning in July, giving prospective buyers and regional dealers an early opportunity to experience the new model on the water.
Main specifications released by Lomac include an overall length of 8.5 meters, a maximum beam of 3.14 meters, and an estimated unladen weight of 1,800kg. The boat’s beam reduces to 2.5 meters when deflated for transport and storage.
