SES Yachts Unveils EPOQ Semi-Custom Gentleman's Yacht Series for Its 50th Anniversary

Turkish builder SES Yachts has unveiled the EPOQ series, a new family of semi-custom gentleman's motor yachts ranging from 24m to 46m.

The reveal of the series marks SES Yachts' first move into the international semi-custom market. Developed with London design studio Sturge & Toth, Van Oossanen Naval Architects and exclusive sales partner Ocean Independence, the new range will include models inspired by the timeless proportions of classic gentleman's yachts.

A modern take on the gentleman's yacht

The first superyacht model unveiled is the 36m EPOQ, which will be available with three layout options comprising a split-deck configuration and two tri-deck variants. Rather than recreate historic yachts, Sturge & Toth has reinterpreted Belle Époque design principles through a contemporary profile featuring a concave hull, rounded transom and extensive teak detailing.

“The traditional gentleman’s yacht was often associated with status, prestige, and the visual expression of wealth. Our interpretation takes a different path. EPOQ does not seek to impress through grandeur. Instead, she expresses sophistication through elegance, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of purpose.”

Designed for comfort inside and out

A standout feature onboard the new yachts will be the glass-bottomed Jacuzzi on the sundeck, positioned above the main deck's al fresco dining area. Using switchable liquid-crystal glass, it can alternate between translucent and transparent, allowing natural light to filter into the space below. Inside, freestanding furniture and fabric panels are intended to create a more residential atmosphere while allowing owners greater flexibility to personalise the interior during construction.

Fast Displacement engineering beneath the classic styling

The EPOQ range is built around Van Oossanen Naval Architects' Fast Displacement Hull Form, which showcases the efficiency of a displacement hull with the performance potential of a semi-displacement platform. The design has been developed to deliver a yacht that has comfortable cruising and confident seakeeping across a wide range of conditions.

Recent deliveries showcase SES Yachts' custom expertise

While EPOQ represents SES Yachts' first move into the semi-custom yacht market, the Turkish builder has spent five decades building fully custom sailing yachts and motor yachts. Notable deliveries include the 42m superyacht K, delivered in 2018 with exterior design by the builder and interiors by Mimar Fatoş Çaşkurlu, and the 26m motor yacht Dark Sky, delivered in 2025 as a bespoke owner-focused motor yacht with in-house design and naval architecture. Together, the two projects highlight the craftsmanship and custom-build experience that SES Yachts is now bringing to its new semi-custom range.

Expanding beyond custom construction

Founded in the 1970s, SES Yachts has delivered more than 91 yachts. The introduction of the EPOQ series marks a significant expansion for the family-owned builder, bringing its craftsmanship into the semi-custom sector while retaining a high level of owner personalisation.
