On Deck

This Mangusta 104 REV delivers exactly the kind of high-performance vibe you'd expect from an Italian sports superyacht. The flybridge is small but well considered given the sleek lines of this coupe-style hull. There's a second helm station for that wind-in-your-hair experience at 36 knots, plus a full wet bar including barbecue, sink, and fridge or ice maker. The space doubles as a sunpad zone with tables beneath for flexible entertaining.

Forward, the bow deck includes another social area, complete with sunbathing space and large-scale mooring gear like oversized capstans. Crew have direct access forward from the side deck via a dedicated door, keeping traffic separate.

At the stern, a garage is neatly integrated beneath the aft sunpad. It lifts to reveal stowage for a Williams 505 jet tender, which aligns neatly with the main boat’s jet drive system.

This isn’t a bloated tri-deck floating house; it's closer in spirit to a Lamborghini than a Range Rover. The exterior areas are trimmed back in favour of pace and sleekness, but there’s still room for dining, lounging and a touch of theatre thanks to the automatic power doors and smart design details.

Interior Accommodation

Go inside and you’re met with a layout and interior design that leans heavily into modern minimalism. It’s clean, bright and ultra contemporary. A massive skylight brings natural light into the main saloon. There’s a retractable TV to port, and power seats at the helm hint at the performance DNA that runs through this boat.

The helm itself is a proper command centre. Fully integrated bonded screens run all systems through a touchscreen interface. Jet drive controls, cameras, tank monitoring, lighting, power management - it’s all here, and beautifully executed.

Interior finishes carry the same high-spec  feel as the rest of the yacht. Flush cabinetry, push-to-open drawers, seamless AV integration which is all evidence of Mangusta’s obsessive attention to clean lines and hidden function.

Owner's Cabin

The owner’s suite sits amidships and feels exactly as it should for a 104-foot performance yacht. Big hull windows bring in light, and the bed, cabinetry and finishes all hit a high-end, contemporary note.

Storage is extensive, with wardrobes lining the port and starboard sides and a large walk-in space as well. It’s not ostentatious, but it’s every bit the real deal.

While this type of yacht isn’t typically bought for extended cruising, the owner’s cabin makes weekend stays more than comfortable. It's more the kind of boat you run hard to the Bahamas for a night or two before blasting home again.

Guest Accommodation

There are three guest cabins in addition to the owner's cabin, sleeping six, each one ensuite and finished in that crisp, contemporary style that runs throughout the yacht.

To starboard off the lower corridor, there’s a double cabin with direct access to its own bathroom. That same bathroom also functions as the day head with the secondary door into the hallway.

Opposite sits a twin cabin with two single beds, proper wardrobe space, and under-bed drawers. The AV setup is away behind cabinetry. The ensuite here includes a separate shower and mirror-finished detailing.

Up in the bow, the VIP suite is the standout of the three. It’s arranged around a centreline double berth and has a noticeably larger ensuite. Full-height wardrobes, flush drawers, and light-toned surfaces keep it feeling fresh and open, while the push-push lockers and hidden hardware show the usual Mangusta restraint when it comes to design.

Crew Accommodation

Crew access is via a discrete side door aft of the saloon, leading down into a crew mess, galley and laundry zone.

The galley follows a familiar Mangusta layout down below, which suits the dayboat/weekender concept well. It’s not banquet scale, but there's good refrigeration, workspace and utility down here.

Two cabins accommodate four crew each include ensuites with separate showers.

Performance

This is where the Mangusta 104 hits its stride. Twin MTU 16V 2000s push out 2,600 horsepower each, paired to waterjet drives. That means intake pumps suck water and blast it through steerable nozzles, delivering exceptional speed.

Cruising speed is around 25 knots, and range at that pace sits just over 400 nautical miles. Flat out, the yacht will top out at 36 knots. That’s outrageous performance for a boat this size.

Turbos the size of dinner plates, two generators, and immaculately clean engineering spaces round off a machinery setup that’s every bit as serious as the rest of the yacht.

Engine access is good, with a secondary route out to the deck, and visual detailing is on point too - the sort of engine bay that would make a gearhead pause in appreciation.

Ownership Considerations

This isn’t the platform for slow, meandering summer cruises. It's a high-octane runabout for big weekends and even bigger smiles. Think Bahamas from Florida, lunch at high speed, back by dusk. And with jet drives and a shallow draft of less than 1.5 metres, it should be able to slip into more hidden anchorages.

Fuel burn at 25 knots on 5,200 horsepower won’t be trivial, but if you’re buying this, you’re unlikely to be chasing half-knot fuel savings. At cruising speed, expect around 800-1,000 litres per hour, depending on load and sea state, which translates to something in the region of $1,000 to $1,250 per hour at Bahamian fuel rates. A 15-hour run could easily clear $12,000 in fuel alone.

As a very broad guide, the accepted annual running cost for a yacht of this type sits in the region of 10-15% of its purchase price. On an $11.8 million Mangusta 104 REV, that equates to somewhere between $1.18 million and $1.77 million per year, covering crew, servicing, insurance, dockage, haul-outs, and general upkeep. Water jet drives do bring a few advantages here as there are fewer underwater appendages and less vulnerable gear below the surface which can reduce wear and simplify haul-outs. The 104’s composite construction and its 199GT volume also mean it just avoids the 200GT regulatory threshold, which may reduce some of the associated compliance and survey costs, particularly for private use.

It’s not a modest ownership proposition by any means, but for a 32-metre yacht built to deliver this kind of pace, agility, and coastal access, the numbers are where you’d expect them. Rivals yachts that could be up for consideration are the Riva 102' Corsaro Super, a second hand Numarine 105 Hardtop or the upcoming Mangusta GranSport 34.

In Summary

The Mangusta 104 has been built for velocity.  Still, it manages to blend sharp handling and 36-knot performance with enough onboard comfort to spend the weekend in style.

The accommodation is light, slick and smart. The flybridge is compact but fun. And the engineering is immaculate.

For the right buyer, this is less about compromise and more about clarity of purpose. It’s fast, fabulous and gloriously unapologetic.
