Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.98m beam and a 1.75m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 329 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fifth yacht built on the W125 design. She was delivered to her owners in December 2019.

Exterior Design

Lion’s Den is a 38.1m (125ft) Westport motor yacht built in GRP as part of the proven Westport 125 series, and it carries the clean, balanced profile that has made the model such a mainstay in this size range. The long sweep of dark glazing runs almost uninterrupted along the main deck, while the gently stepped superstructure and extended overhangs give the yacht a low, composed stance on the water.

The aft deck is arranged as a shaded social space, with direct access into the main saloon through wide sliding glass doors. Twin staircases drop down to the swim platform, which forms the base of a compact beach club setup and gives clean, easy access to the water. The symmetry here is practical and works well for guest flow, especially when the yacht is in use at anchor.

Up on the bridge deck, the aft section is used for tender storage, with space for a crane and additional toys, keeping the main guest decks clear. Above, the sun deck opens up as the primary outdoor living area, combining lounging space with open-air dining and bar service. The deck has clear zones, so it works just as well for quiet use as it does for larger groups.

Forward, the bow carries additional seating and sunpad space, and the high bulwarks and clean deck layout keep this area usable underway as well as at anchor.

Interior Design

The interior, designed by Destry Darr, follows a calm, modern direction built around contrast. Dark sapele wood runs through the cabinetry and flooring, while lighter wall panels, ceilings and soft furnishings lift the spaces and keep them bright.

The main saloon uses a classic Westport layout but adds sharper detailing. Large windows bring in strong natural light, while the seating is arranged in a central lounge configuration with armchairs and sofas facing a built-in entertainment unit. The joinery is clean and linear, with integrated storage that keeps the room uncluttered.

Forward, the formal dining area sits as a defined but connected space, with a large table for ten and a decorative partition that adds separation without closing the room off. The transition between lounge and dining feels natural, helped by the consistent material palette and lighting.

The galley has a large central island in bold veined stone, deep stainless sinks, and extensive refrigeration and storage. A dinette sits alongside, so it works as both a crew space and an informal guest area when needed.

Accommodation

Lion’s Den accommodates up to 10 guests across five staterooms, following a layout that places the owner on the main deck and guests below.

The master suite sits forward on the main deck and takes advantage of the yacht’s beam. It includes a large bed set centrally, wide windows for natural light, and built-in storage along both sides. The en suite bathroom is arranged with twin vanities and a separate shower, keeping the layout simple and usable.

Below deck, four guest cabins provide a mix of VIP and twin arrangements. The VIP benefits from generous floor space and larger hull windows, while the twin cabins are set up for flexible guest use. All cabins include en suite bathrooms and integrated entertainment systems, keeping the standard consistent across the yacht.

She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 2,600hp engines, motor yacht Lion's Den is capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 22 knots. With her 26,744 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

In addition, a generous beach club offers direct access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads.
