    • We provide this Site to help consumers both discover yacht charter and research their next vacation by combining details of ALL yachts for Charter with destination information, special offers, events and market news. We are not yacht brokers ourselves.
    • For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) (the "GDPR"), we are notified as a data controller with the Information Commissioner's Office with registration number A8400518. YachtBuyer (Cobalt2 Media Limited) is registered in England under 11487857 whose registered address is 87 North Road, Poole, Dorset, England BH14 0LT.

    • A reference to "you" or "your" is a reference to a user of the Site or any of our services.
  • WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

      • Name, email address, password, information about your preferences and interests, demographic information (such as your gender) as well as other information you directly give us on our site. In addition, we may also collect personal information from you when you correspond with us (for example, when you send us e-mail communications or by telephone). We may also further enrich your profile with additional data that is publicly available or, with your explicit permission, access more detailed information on alternative platforms (Instagram, Twitter etc).

      • to improve our Site to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
      • to measure or understand the effectiveness of advertising we serve to you and others, and to deliver relevant advertising to you; and
      • to make suggestions and recommendations to you and other users of our Site about goods or services that may interest you or them.
      • to enforce our Terms of Use and as part of our efforts to keep our Site safe and secure;
      • details of your last search are sent to the third-party yacht broker, business partner or advertiser to help them find yachts that match your requirements more closely. If you are a registered user and signed in, your settings will be included to help them provide a more personalised services to you.
      • If you call us or a third-party yacht broker, business partners or advertisers, information regarding the time and date of the call, its status and your telephone number will be made available to them. Your phone calls may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes. The recordings will only be available to the partner or advertiser you contacted and our employees.
      • If you decide to save yachts you are interested in on the Site, we can identify which yachts you have saved. These details may be anonymously aggregated to indicate how many users have saved a particular yacht, but we will not make available to third parties any personal data relating to which users have saved which yachts.
      • If you decide to save searches and/or use the yacht alerts feature to receive notification when new yachts matching your criteria are added to this Site, we will record the settings you use and which yachts have been sent to you. We do not make any information about any yacht that has been sent to you available to our partners, advertisers or third parties
      • With your permission and/or where permitted by law, we may also use your personal data for marketing purposes, which may include contacting you by email and or telephone, text message and post with information, news, and offers on our products and services. You will not be sent any unlawful marketing or spam. We will always work to fully protect your rights and comply with our obligations under the GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, and you will always have the opportunity to opt-out.
      • Our partner service BrokerFinder uses the following automated systems for carrying out certain kinds of decision-making and profiling. If at any point you wish to query any action that we take on the basis of this or wish to request ‘human intervention’ (i.e. have someone review the action themselves, rather than relying only on the automated method), the GDPR gives you the right to do so.         The following automated decision-making and profiling method(s) may be used:
        Should you place a charter enquiry through the Site we will use elements such as your browser language, location, timezone, how long you spent on a page, access times, your preferences, budgets and regions of interest and previous enquires to help us find and match a third-party yacht broker who may be best placed to help assist you with your specific requirements.
  • WHO ELSE HAS ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION
    • We may sometimes contract with the following third parties to supply products and or services to you on our behalf. These may include payment processing, delivery, and marketing. In some cases, those third parties may require access to some or all of your personal data that we hold. By using this Site, you consent to us providing Your Information to the third parties licensed by us to provide such services.
    • If any of your personal data is required by a third party, as described above, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data is handled safely, securely, and in accordance with your rights, our obligations, and the third party’s obligations under the law.   • ACCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

    • There is not normally any charge for a subject access request. If your request is ‘manifestly unfounded or excessive’ (for example, if you make repetitive requests) a fee may be charged to cover our administrative costs in responding.
    • We will respond to your subject access request within 3 weeks and, in any case, not more than one month of receiving it. Normally, we aim to provide a complete response, including a copy of your personal data within that time. In some cases, however, particularly if your request is more complex, more time may be required up to a maximum of three months from the date we receive your request.
