The award recognizes the 50m superyacht Camila, which earned an overall YB 5 Star rating following YachtBuyer’s full onboard review at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2025. That result secured the Bilgin 163 II a place in the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame, reserved for yachts that achieve the highest overall score through YachtBuyer’s independent review program.
Bilgin Celebrates YB 5 Star Award at Monaco
Camila is the second yacht built on the Bilgin 163 platform and the first developed for a private owner. Delivered in 2025, she measures 50m with a 9.25m beam and a gross tonnage of 499 GT. Unique Yacht Design handled the exterior design and naval architecture, while Hot Lab developed the interior.
Much of Camila’s appeal lies in how far Bilgin pushed the sub-500GT platform. The yacht was extensively customized during construction, with one of the most important changes involving the tender arrangement. Moving the tender storage toward the bow opened up the stern, creating a substantially larger beach club and gym and giving more of the aft end of the yacht over to guests.
That decision helped reshape the entire onboard experience. A fixed bathing platform leads straight into the beach club, while the decks above introduce several separate social spaces on board the motor yacht. The main deck aft has deep seating and a permanent bar, the bridge deck offers another outdoor dining and lounge area, and the sun deck runs for around 21m.
It was that careful use of space, rather than size alone, that helped the Bilgin 163 II stand out during YachtBuyer’s review.
Why Camila Earned a YB 5 Star Rating
Camila’s Hall of Fame result was built on strong scores across the yacht rather than one headline feature. Deck spaces were a particular highlight. The stern of the yacht is dedicated to waterside use, while the 21m sun deck is almost entirely reserved for guests. It includes aft sunbathing space, an outdoor galley and dining area, plus a forward hot tub.
The hot tub also forms part of one of Camila’s most memorable interior details. Its glazed base allows light to filter down into a six-meter chandelier running through the central stairwell, creating a striking connection between the upper deck and the interior below.
Hot Lab’s interior uses eucalyptus wood, leather, and stone throughout the superyacht, with the accommodation arranged for 12 guests across six cabins. The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck, while five further cabins are located below, including a full-beam VIP.
Twin 1,450hp Caterpillar C32 engines give the yacht a cruising speed of around 12 knots and a top speed of 16.5 knots, with a quoted range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles. During the YachtBuyer review, the Bilgin 163 II received five-star scores for design and build, accommodation, deck spaces and the engine room, while the helm received four stars.
The final result was an overall YB 5 Star rating - enough to secure Camila’s place in the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame.

How the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame Works
The YachtBuyer Hall of Fame is reserved for yachts that achieve an overall YB 5 Star rating through YachtBuyer’s independent review program.
Entry is determined entirely by YachtBuyer’s onboard assessment, rather than nominations, submissions or a judging panel. Each yacht is scored across key areas including design and build quality, accommodation, deck spaces, helm design and engineering.
Achieving that top score is deliberately rare. Of the 37 yachts reviewed by YachtBuyer so far in 2026, only four have been awarded an overall YB 5 Star rating - just under 11%. Only yachts reaching this highest level earn a place in the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame, reflecting performance across the full review rather than strength in a single area.

A Strong Year of Recognition for Bilgin Yachts
Camila’s Hall of Fame trophy arrives during a busy period for Bilgin Yachts, with attention now shifting toward the yard’s next generation of larger projects. Leading that pipeline is the 82m Project Bond, sold earlier in 2026 and set to become the largest yacht ever built by the shipyard, with exterior design and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design and interiors by H2 Yacht Design.
Additionally, the 80m Al Reem, the third and final yacht in the Bilgin 263 series, won the Motor Yacht Over 60 Metres category at the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2026.
Bilgin has also remained busy around the 50m mark. The 52m Ada, the second Bilgin 170, completed her first Mediterranean season following delivery in 2026, adding another new yacht to the yard’s growing sub-500GT fleet.
