SPOTTED: 122m Lürssen Superyacht Kismet Returns to London Ahead of Jaguars’ 2026 NFL Games

The 122m Lürssen superyacht Kismet has returned to central London, arriving on the River Thames for a third consecutive year and once again taking up a prominent position close to Tower Bridge.

YachtBuyer Intelligence shows the 4,918GT yacht departed Gibraltar late on 28 September before heading north through the English Channel and into the Thames. The arrival continues a pattern established over the past two years.

Kismet first caused a stir in London in October 2024, when the newly delivered yacht became the largest superyacht to berth beside Tower Bridge in more than a decade. Making the 2026 appearance her third successive autumn visit, she returned to the same stretch of the Thames in October 2025.

Why Has Kismet Returned to London in October 2026?

No official reason has been announced for Kismet's latest London visit, although the timing falls just days before the Jacksonville Jaguars begin another two-week run of NFL games in the capital.

The Lurssen yacht is associated with the Khan family, while Shad Khan owns both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Premier League club Fulham FC. Kismet's silver jaguar figurehead beneath the bowsprit is a direct reference to the NFL franchise.

The Jaguars will face the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 11 October, followed by the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium on 18 October. Both are Jaguars home games, with the team remaining in London between fixtures. The organization has also confirmed that fan events are planned around the two game weeks.

Kismet's 2026 Voyages Bring Her Back to London

London is the latest recognizable stop in another well-traveled year for the German-built yacht. Kismet was spotted in Gibraltar in April 2026, putting her back in public view after a run of major industry awards. She later appeared off Monaco during the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix, joining one of the year's largest gatherings of privately owned superyachts.

Her current AIS voyage also began in Gibraltar, with the yacht leaving the territory on 28 September before making the passage to the UK.

Public attention around Kismet has remained unusually high since her 2024 delivery. She was named Yacht of the Year at the 2025 International Superyacht Society Awards, adding to honors that already included Motor Yacht of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards.

Inside Lürssen's Award-Winning 122m Kismet

Delivered by Lürssen in April 2024 under the project name Project Jag, Kismet measures 122m in length, with a beam of around 17m and an internal volume of 4,918GT. That volume places her at No.55 in the YachtBuyer YB100, which ranks the world’s biggest yachts by gross tonnage rather than length alone, giving a clearer measure of their overall internal scale. Nuvolari Lenard developed her exterior design, while Reymond Langton Design was responsible for the interiors.

The yacht carries accommodation for up to 16 guests and a crew of 37. Her onboard spaces include a two-level owner's suite, an underwater viewing lounge and cinema, extensive wellness facilities, several pools and large entertainment areas.

A hybrid diesel-electric arrangement also gives Kismet the ability to operate at low speed using electric power in selected conditions. Published figures put her top speed at around 18 knots, with a range of approximately 6,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Her scale remains particularly striking on the Thames. Kismet's first visit in 2024 made her the largest yacht to berth at Tower Bridge in more than a decade. The larger 126.2m explorer Octopus visited London during the 2012 Olympic Games, although she was positioned farther east at Canary Wharf.

Lürssen Closes In on the End of a Record 2026 Delivery Year

Kismet's return comes during a particularly active period for Lürssen. YachtBuyer fleet data currently records six Lürssen yachts delivered in 2026, all measuring at least 78m: the 134.2m MY Deep Blue, 117m Boardwalk, 114.2m Nausicaä, 109m O3, 102.4m Nixie and 78m Odisea.

At 134m, Deep Blue leads Lürssen’s 2026 delivery fleet as the yard’s largest launch of the year.

Nixie recently made her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show after a five-year build, giving Lürssen another 100m-plus delivery in a year already weighted heavily toward the upper end of the market.

Attention is already shifting to the yard's future pipeline. The 146.2m Project Defy, rated at approximately 10,500GT, is currently the only Lürssen build scheduled for delivery in 2027.

Further out, the yard secured two major sales during 2026. The 122.5m Project Elusive is scheduled for 2030 delivery, while the newly sold Project M will measure more than 125m and exceed 6,000GT when delivered in May 2032.

For now, Kismet is once again the Lürssen drawing the most attention in London, with her third Thames appearance arriving at the start of another major month of sport in the capital.
