  • Minimalist interior by Michela Reverberi

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 1.5m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 298 GT (Gross Tonnes).

She was delivered to her owners in March 2008.

Exterior Design

Blade II features a sleek and modern aesthetic, enhanced by its blue hull and silver superstructure. Below the waterline, the yacht is painted black. The main deck is crafted from high-quality teak, adding both durability and a classic nautical touch.

A standout feature of Blade II's exterior is the engineering by Opacmare in Italy. This includes a section of the aft main deck that can be cantilevered up, aft, and down to water level, providing easy access to the sea. This mechanism is complemented by gentle ramps and broad steps, improving accessibility for all guests.

The sun deck is enclosed by a clear glass windbreak, which offers protection from the elements while maintaining unobstructed views. The comms/radar mast has been modified to include a global television and network antenna, ensuring connectivity no matter where the yacht travels. Additionally, the sun deck features a repeat set of bridge controls, giving the captain a vantage point for stern-to docking.

Interior Design

Blade II follows a minimalist aesthetic. The predominant color palette features white and pale fabrics, complemented by light wooden floors. This choice of materials creates a bright, airy atmosphere throughout the yacht, with vibrant artworks providing the primary sources of color.

Entry to the main deck saloon is facilitated through two pairs of electric sliding doors, forming a vestibule that includes a guest head to port and a lift to starboard. The saloon itself benefits from expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, which enhance the sense of space and light. Notably, the main deck planking, which extends through the saloon, has been retained from the original design prior to the 2016 refit.

The galley is designed with functionality and efficiency in mind, ensuring that meal preparation and service can be conducted smoothly. Details about specific appliances or layout are not provided, but the design ethos suggests a space that is both practical and in harmony with the yacht's minimalist interior.

The helm is equipped with modern navigation and control systems, ensuring ease of operation. The bridge includes a repeat set of controls for the captain on the sun deck, offering a vantage point that is particularly useful for stern-to docking.

Accommodation

Blade II offers comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests in five meticulously designed cabins. These include a master suite, three doubles, and a single cabin, all featuring en-suite bathroom facilities to ensure privacy and convenience.

The master suite is designed for ultimate comfort and includes large windows that allow natural light to fill the room. The suite is further enhanced by the addition of a tall window in the bathroom, providing both light and a scenic view.

The three double cabins and one single cabin are equally well-appointed, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The minimalist interior by Michela Reverberi employs a predominantly white color scheme, accented with pale fabrics and light wooden floors, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere.

The crew quarters are designed to accommodate up to eight staff members, ensuring that all guest needs are met efficiently and discreetly.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by 1 x gas turbine Vericor (TF-50) 4,316hp engines, motor yacht Blade II is capable of reaching a top speed of 30 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 30,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

Amenities

In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht and an inviting spread of sunpads.
